Although it had been a few days since Selena fired him without an explanation, Oliver still couldn't understand a thing about all that had happened. He was still as clueless now as he had been when he walked into that office to face a cold Selena. He was still very much devastated and didn't know what to think or do about everything.
He had really believed there was some sort of chemistry and connection between himself and Selena, so why then the sudden change of attitude? Why did Selena do that to him? Had it all been a game to her? Had she used him?
The Selena he had come to know and love wasn't that sort of person. The Selena he knew wasn't capable of playing with someone's heart, so what changed? He asked himself for the umpteenth time as he mentally replayed all that had happened in his bedroom from the time he served her lunch to the time he walked into the bathroom and saw that she had left.
