I just don’t have an answer

Xyleria, Ryuu, and the two kids went home after work ended.

Upon arriving home, Xyleria looked around and asked "Did we forget someone? The car looks a bit empty." Sora replied, "No. Mummy I'm hungry!" as he rubs his tummy. The four of them stepped out of the car and were greeted by Butler Kei. "Welcome back Young Master, little young masters, and Mr. Tachibana. Dinner is ready. Mr. Lynford has notified us that he will be late."

"Thank You Grandpa Kei, you may take your leave." Said Xyleria.

"Yes, thank you Grandpa Kei," said Liam and Sora who then bowed respectfully.

Ryuu also bowed toward Grandpa Kei after he helped his son change his footwear. Liam's footwear on the other hand was helped by Xyleria. The four of them went to wash their hands before partaking in dinner.

After dinner, Ryuu went to bathe both kids and helped them change into their pajamas. As Ryuu was busy hair drying Sora's hair, Liam walked out and went to his and dad's room to dry his hair. Liam doesn't want to bother Ryuu Tachibana because he does not like to request others' help. He likes to do everything himself.

Xyleria who walked out of her room, on the way to the locked room saw Liam walking out of Sora and his dad's room with his hair still wet, Ryuu Tachibana must be still drying his son's hair so Liam must have not wanted to bother them.

Unable to reach for the doorknob of his and his dad's room. Xyleria walked up to him, and lifted him up, and said, "Why is your hair still wet?" And brought him to her room and dried his hair for him instead.

Liam who was trying to reach for the doorknob was suddenly lifted, he saw his biological mom was the one that lifted him. When asked why his hair was still wet, his face turns red from embarrassment.

As Xyleria was drying his hair, he felt warm and asked Xyleria "Did you not want a son? Was I an accident? Do you not lov…." As tears weld up. Xyleria was shocked at his questions, she puts down the hairdryer and faced Liam who teared up.

"You know, even I don't know. Which parent does not love their child? It is not that I don't love you. I just don't have an answer now. We need to spend time together to understand each other. Just know that I care for you, when the time comes, you will know whether I love you without asking me. Love is something that is felt not justified by words." Said Xyleria as she hugs Liam. Liam noticed Xyleria's eye changed to golden as she explains what is love to her.

After a while, Liam fell asleep in Xyleria's arms. Xyleria laid Liam on her bed and covered him with the blanket.

This boy is too sensitive to his surroundings, too smart, and maybe kind of mature but I hope he does not carry a lot of burdens. He is too young to carry such burdens, children are supposed to enjoy their childhood. Being an adult has its pros and cons. After staying for a while, she went out and saw William Lynford standing outside her room.

Xyleria slowly closes her room door and signal William to go to the living room. Both had some tea, Xyleria spoke up and asked "Care to tell me about Liam's childhood?" William was surprised by her question because he thought she didn't care about Liam.

"Liams' childhood, if I had to say it was lonely, I was busy with work and I left him to the helpers at home. I try to bond with him when I was available. He was always cheerful when he saw me, I thought it was fine. Until I returned home early one day only to see him dulled away in my study room. It hurt me very much, that was when I decided to tell him about you, and that he has a grandfather.

Liam was happy that he has a mother. When I told him that we were going to live with you, he was worried. He looked up online and people reply that usually, they will hate him for entering their lives suddenly. I remember the day we were going to live with you.

"Have you had your dinner yet?"

"No. I was too busy."

"Take a seat then, I fix something for you."

"I dislike people who starve themselves."

After cooking for William, she went to the locked room to continue working on the rock. William who was in the dining room took out his phone and took a picture of Xyleria's dish. Smiling at the home-cooked dish and ate it with relish.
