Chapter 5 - Missing

When he saw that Jack wrapped his song, he claps his hand.

Jack turned around and he was staggered when he saw his father.

"Dad, I didn't know that you're here," Jack said.

Steven drawn nearer him.

"Yes, I'm already here,"

"Did you hear my singing voice?" Jack said, as he felt shy.

"Yes, I heard your singing voice, I can't believe that you can sing like that!" Steven said in amazement. And then Jack grinned. "So, what do you think?" Jack asked.

"Well, I can say that you have a voice like an angel! I love it!" Steven smiled.

"But your voice is better than me, Dad," said Jack as he scoffed.

"No, you have a better voice than me, and it will be even better when I train you," Steven said as he grinned at him.

"Dad, will you teach me?" Jack said, feeling excited.

"Of course, I'll pay attention to you!" Smiling Steven.

-FLASHBACK ENDED-

Jack cries as he remembers his father, his father was dead before he became famous, it was killed in a car crashed. Steven no longer saw how popular he is.

So, his dream of Jack becoming a famous singer has never been seen by him.

A few days later, Charlotte is busy serving customers at the diner inn, where she works as a waitress. And later, the manager turned on the TV on the counter. And it was a breaking news.

Charlotte suddenly stopped at what she was doing, when she suddenly heard the news about Jack Armstrong, she glanced on TV.

BREAKING NEWS

JACK ARMSTRONG'S WORLD TOUR CONCERT WILL BE CANCELLED!

The reporter Cathy Johnson said on TV.

People stopped at what they do at the diner inn, when they heard the news, and they focused on the TV. "Jack Armstrong world tour is cancelled?" Charlotte said to herself as she watched it.

JACK ARMSTRONG'S UPCOMING WORLD TOUR CONCERTS WILL NO LONGER BE HAPPEN, BECAUSE HE IS MISSING!

Everyone in the diner inn were stunned at what they heard.

"No!" Exclamation of costumers who were watching the TV.

And when Charlotte heard this, she almost drops the tray of cups of coffee in her hand.

She watched it seriously.

Jack Armstrong's mother was being interviewed at that time.

"When and why did he vanish? What happened to your son?" Columnist Cathy Johnson asked, as it shows on screen. "And where did you final saw him?" proceeded Cathy. Jack's mother, Carlyn Armstrong replied with tears in her eyes, and she talked about the the final days she had seen Jack. "He vanished as it were a week prior, I last saw him on Saturday morning, May 21, 2020." Carlyn said.

-FLASHBACK-

One night, Jack's family is preparing to have supper at their house, and he is the only one they are waiting for. "Why isn't Jack still here, he said he's going to have dinner with us?" Carlyn asked Harry,

"You're not used to Jack mom, he's always like that, he seldom catches up with the dinner," Harry said. "But he guaranteed that he will join us tonight," said Carlyn. "Don't stress mother, Jack is coming, possibly he's on his way," Harry said. "I've been calling him prior, he doesn't indeed reply," said Carlyn feeling worried. "Mom, have you called his manager Dave?"

"Yes, but they're not together," said Carlyn. Afterward, Rob came in, Jack's step father. "I saw Jack on Julia Davis Talk show on TV!" Rob said as he sauntered the dining room. "Yeah, but it wasn't live, it was a taping this morning, and he said he didn't have another plan after that, so I ponder why he hasn't here however," Carlyn said.

'Have you called Bailey or Rossy yet?" Rob asked. "They too do not reply," Carlyn said.

"Hmm, possibly they went some place else with him, let's eat dinner now, I'm so hungry," Rob said.

"I lost my appetite, you two go ahead," Carlyn said and she stood up from her seat and went within the window to look at Jack if he is already there.

Carlyn was uneasy. Rob asked her to eat first, but she doesn't feel like eating as her mind was in Jack's. She repeatedly calls Rossy and Bailey, but they still do not answer. Annoyed, Carlyn dialed Jack's number again, but his cell phone was unattended. Carlyn was wondering, because every time she calls Jack she can easily contacted him.

After a while, her cell phone rang, Jack's assistant Bailey was calling,

"Hello Bailey, I called you so many times earlier, why aren't you answering, where is my son?" Carlyn asked worriedly. Bailey, who was on the other line, couldn't speak up at once.

"Bailey, please answer me?" Carlyn asked hurriedly, she was instantly waiting for an answer.

And then Bailey finally spoke.

"Madame Carlyn, Jack is missing!" Bailey said on the other line.

Carlyn was bewildered by what she heard.

"What? What are you talking about? What happened?" Carlyn said with a panic voice, and it started to go hysterical.

"When his guesting on the talk show ended, he left in a hurry, he took my car," Bailey said.

"And why did he ride in your car? Then he is with you?"

"No, he told me to bring my car in the studio, just before the guesting he borrowed the key from me. He planned to drive my car alone, and he got in there after the guesting. He drove fast so we didn't catch up with him, until we no longer knew where he was, we searched everywhere," Bailey replied.

"Is that the reason why you didn't answer my calls?"

"I'm so sorry mam, we didn't answer your call since we're active finding him," Bailey said on the other line. "Explore for him carefully!" Carlyn requested and hung up the phone. She holds up once more, trusting Jack will come home, but days gone by, he doesn't go home. Manager Dave is additionally stressed since they have to be taken off in Tokyo for Jack's concerts. Jack has numerous planned such as concert visits around the world, and he's stressed that he won't be able to proceed since he's lost. The theory of others is that it might have gotten away his concert so it now not appears. Its fans all over the world are very sad and hoping to see him once more. But it hasn't been seen in a week, and Carlyn is exceptionally stressed since it doesn't call her.

Meanwhile, Charlotte's manager noticed her as if she had lost herself.

"Charlotte, are you alright?" The manager asked her with a frown.

"Yes, Sir, I-I'm fine, I'm so sorry," Charlotte replied and resumed what she was doing, but she still had that news in her mind. And that day, there was nothing discussed in the media, but the disappearance of Jack Armstrong.
