World's Situation

As the morning sun slowly rose from the east and slowly chased away the dim mists of dawn, a young man who sitting cross legged in a cave slowly opened his eyes and stood on his feet.

"Finally, its morning!" the young man said.

This young man looked about 16 -17 years old and stood at about 1.8 meters tall wearing an open front white shirt, black trousers and black boots with an eyelet-studded black belt holding it together. This young man had deep black shoulder length hair with piercing ocean blue eyes.

There was no doubt that this young man was Alvin who had just spent his first night in the One Piece world!

After he had fled the scene of the Silver Tailed Leopard's murder, he quickly found his way to this cave located on the rocky parts of the beach. He had found this cave earlier when he arrived on this Island yesterday and earmarked it as his resting place.

Because he knew that this place was very dangerous, he never actually truly slept throughout the night but always stayed on alert in case of any danger. Even though like all other games, players could be reborn after dying, the penalty that came with it caused him to never want to experience it.

Lifting his head, he saw a medium sized seagull that was wearing a white sailor hat and carrying bags over their shoulders with papers rolled into them.

Alvin immediately recognized this bird. This was a News Coo; a special type of sea gull that deliver newspapers and wanted papers across the world.

Alvin became very excited when he saw this bird. This was exactly what he needed now. A newspaper that could inform him the timeline in which he was placed and his current location.

But from the direction of this seagull, this island wasn't its final destination. If Alvin didn't do anything, this news coo will just fly over this island. With this in mind, he immediately started to run after the bird.

With a thought, a sea pebble appeared in his hands. The altitude that this bird was flying at wasn't very high so Alvin was very confident he could shoot it down. Aiming at the newspaper bag hanging around the bird's neck, Alvin arched his hands and shot the stone at the seagull.

'Bang!'

The stone accurately hit the rope tying the newspaper bag to the bird's neck bringing the newspaper bag tumbling down. The bird was startled by this sudden attack and flew to a higher altitude at a very fast pace away from the Island.

Alvin happily watched the newspaper falling into the sands of the beach. He immediately run and retrieved it. When he took the newspaper, the first thing he looked at was the date!

19th July 1512!

This was the date Alvin saw. He frowned when he saw this. Because it had been quite a while since he watched the One Piece show, he now realized that he couldn't remember most of the dates and timelines of various events. What he could remember was all tied to the protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy's adventure.

What he could be sure was that the protagonist hadn't began his adventure by this time.

To confirm whether some of his guesses were correct, he began to read the newspaper to find what was going on in the world.

The first part of the newspaper talked about the recent Reverie (literally translated as 'World Council') where the world government met with over 50 out of the 170 affiliated nations. Alvin wasn't familiar about any of the issues discussed in there except for the establishment of the Shichibukai (literally translated as 'Royal Seven Martial Seas') system!

The newspaper reported on the appointment of the most recent Shichibukai; Boa Hankook, and also, a lot of propaganda about how this system was going to balance the power struggle between the Navy and the recently crowned four emperors of the New World!

After reading these, Alvin could finally confirm his guess. He began to organize some events that would take place from this time until the protagonist begins his journey.

According to his memory, Monkey D. Luffy would begin his journey around 1522, so he had a lot of time to prepare to take advantage of the major events that would happen in this world.

He didn't know the kind of changes that the presence of the 'players' would bring to this world but he was confident the chances wouldn't be too big!

After reading the newspaper, he turned and began to look at the sea with a smile on his face. Among the newspapers that the news Coo had dropped, there was a letter that clearly informed him of his current location.

This made him very excited. The first point was that he knew he was currently in East Blue! Also the village where one of the major protagonists of the One Piece world trained was located at the other side of this Island. The name of this village is Shimotsuki Village!
