Mental Break
I sat upon the highest mound of rubble in Atlantic City, eyes closed, trying to sense Nidhogg, and getting nothing at first. Using my unique powers of meditation, I attempted something dangerous. Something I shall regret the remainder of my days.
I still had the residual effects of Nidhogg's consciousness in my mind, and it was easy for me to trace his moods and any other emotional responses he had in his thoughts. And of course, hate, anger, and torment were foremost. The danger came by my next move because I sensed a tinge of delight in his mind, almost joy; which meant he had to be up to something heinous, and simply flying my way to attack and fight most likely wouldn't leave such impressions unless he had a horrid scheme that I needed to know about before he arrived.
