Chaoyang got into his red carriage, leaving for home.
"How did it go?" A woman asked.
"He gave me a vial to put in Atlas's bath. You need to give it to one of his maids so she can do it," Chaoyang replied.
Chaoyang looked at the woman and pulled her into his embrace. He asked seductively, "Will you do that for me?"
Empress Ling's head maid smiled brightly and answered, "Of course, I will do it. I'll do anything for you." Chaoyang smiled and kissed her.
Despite what his brother thinks, he's not a fool. He knows that his brother plans on setting him up for Atlas's death.
That is why he seduced Empress Ling's head maid so that when Atlas dies, it will all be traced back to them. He knows she inherited the brotherhood of assassins, and he has evidence of it.
Once Atlas dies at their hands, the head maid will confess that she was sent by them, and he'll give the Emperor all the evidence he needs to have them killed.
