When Atlas opened his eyes, he was laying on a big canopy bed. He blinked to receive the world's information.
The body was a 19 years old man, known as Yan Zhi. His father, Yixin, was the third son of the Emperor.
The emperor had Yan Zhi when he was sixteen, with the daughter of an important minister named Wang Meilin, who was his noble consort.
When Yixin turned 20, he ascended the throne. Yixin had two more children, only a few months apart from Yan Zhi.
One with Empress Ling, named Yan Xiaoshu, and one with his imperial noble consort Nian named Yan Chaoyang. Yan Zhi was the eldest but he was never considered to inherit the throne.
He and his brothers had titles, but he was only called third prince and was reneged to the cold palace.
While his brother we're getting experience, sitting in court and learning from the best teachers, Yan Zhi wouldn't.
Even his palace maids and eunuchs had no respect for him, after Wang Meilin's death. He was treated like a pestilence.
