The Infected Woman
*The third day of the outbreak*
We need to find a way out, I say unbuckling my seat belt.
There's no running, do you see the way their running, they must've been Olympic runners, says Ray.
We could spike them through the window, says Mack looking out the window with a spike in his hand ready for approval.
Well, whatever the plan we have to do it quickly, cause they're coming, I say.
ARGH! Shit to late their already here, I say.
With the way they're banging on the windows, it's gonna be a good minute before we're dead, says Mack.
Let's get on the sunroof, that'll probably be the more safer thing to do, I say quietly opening the sunroof.
Once we were all on the roof we studied our current situation.
This looks bad, says Ray stupidly. No shit Sherlock, I had no idea, says Mack sarcasm dripping from his words.
We need to find a way to lure them away maybe, throwing something will do the trick, I say looking at the amount of Zs around us.
Yeah good plan, says Mack throwing one of his boots over board. Nothing.
Really, nothing, says Mack sighing. Just because they're Zs doesn't mean they're stupid, says Ray rolling his eyes. They're supposed to be stupid they're brain is rotten,Mack says defending himself.
Stop bickering like a pair of 4 year olds and help me think of something to do, I shout a bit to loudly. The Zs that thought we were in the truck were now looking at us with their grey cloudy eyes.
Shit, we all said in unison. They all started growling at us and attempting to scratch us.
Before we knew what hit us the sound of shooting and Z's growling erupted around us.
I covered my ears to avoid becoming deaf as the shooting went on.
They're gone, says a small girl, around 17, tippy toeing on the pavement below us.
Thank God, I thought we were dead meat, says Ray hopping off the truck roof. Thanks to me you mean, says the girl putting her hands on her hips.
Suddenly she whistles. What are you doing, I say clasping her mouth shut with my hand as I hop off the truck. We need help, she says signaling to a man carrying a woman.
Sorry, we can't, says Mack hopping off the truck as well. We helped you, she says almost pleading. Sorry, girl, he says truly sympathetically as he walks away to grab our supplies from the back of the truck.
Mack, I say following him to the back of the truck. What, he says packing up what we needed. We need to help them, I say turning his chin to make him face me.
He sighs before saying, they could be infected for all we know. Yeah I know, but we need to return the favor, I say. I'm not taking a chance, they could get you, Katana, and me all infected, Mack says trying to prove his point.
I'm helping, them wether you want to or not, I say turning his chin back to facing the trunk.
Hi, um can we help you with anything at all, I ask the now arguing man and girl.
Yes please, it's my wife she's been bitten, he says begging me to help them. I step back where Ray and Mack already have my back, guns out.
No, please we need your help, we need you shoot her, says the man, his eyes watering.
I can't do it myself, I'm to much of a coward, says the man. My, Elle, here would do it but her guns out of bullets, we only just found the ones we shot the Zs with a mile away stashed in a Zs pocket, he says pointing at the small girl, who's name was Elle.
I'll do it, Mack says volunteering to do the killing. I couldn't stop him, because I knew if Mack didn't do it these poor people would die.
As Mack grabs his Ruger 9mm, the small girl comforts her weeping dad by side hugging him. Ready, when your are sir, says Mack pointing the Ruger at the dieing woman's head.
Shoot, says the man through a sigh.
BAM!
I look away from gruesome scene and into the settings horizon. Now, that that's over and done with, we have to get going, says Mack wiping his blood spattered gun with his shirt.
Thank you we'll be on our way now, says the old man grabbing his, I assume, daughters hand.
As we start walking away Ray asks, we aren't seriously gonna leave them by themselves with no weapons right. Yes, we are, we don't need more companions for our travels, says Mack strictly.
I stop in my tracks. And where exactly is it that we're heading, I ask looking around the wasteland outskirts of the city. I know of a place, says Ray. Oh really is it back that way, I say pointing behind me. No its in Tennessee, he says rolling his eyes. I've also been getting signals from there, he says also stopping in his tracks.
We'll be better get going, the faster we stop talking and start actually walking the faster we'll get their, I say as I continue to walk.
HELP, screams someone running at us. It was the same girl from from earlier with her dad hot on her heels.
Shit, we got a Z, says Mack grabbing his gun. As the girl got closer Mack shot the Z straight in the head.
You okay, I ask. Yeah, she says panting from all the running she had to do up hill. What happened, I ask worried. He started crying then he said bye and stabbed himself, she says through tears and sweat.
We better get going, before more Zs start showing up, says Mack looking around.
Not a lot of Zs must have been in the vicinity, because no Zs appeared all night or day as we trudged our way to Tennessee.
*The end of part four*
I'm having writers block right now so the next few parts are going to be agonizingly boring but bare with me people
