Hospitalisation fee

It was the sound of her ringtone that shook her back to her senses, right from her reverie. "Am I talking to Ms. Janeth?" the voice from the other side of the phone sounded.

"Yes please, what can I do for you?"

"It's like this. The person who has been transferring the medical fees for the old lady´s hospitalization informed us of her withdrawal. She even asked us to stop all services. You should pay up as soon as possible because her condition is worsening in case you want the hospital to work on her. You have to clear the five hundred thousand dollars that is due first."

Janeth was too dumbfounded that she did not even notice that the man besides her had been awake since her phone started ringing.

She had just promised the caller that she would go to check out for a solution for Grandma. She was rushing to put on her clothes to go to the hospital.

"How much?" a cold magnetic voice that sent a shrill in her bones sounded.

"What are you talking about?" she responded.

"To keep quiet about all the incidents!"

"Bastard! Do you think I sell my body? Humph!!" she sounded very annoyed.

"Alright, I'll give you one million dollars to cover for the hospitalization."

Janeth was really astonished. No matter how angry she was, she remained rational concerning her grandma´s life. She considered her as the only relative she had. She could only accept this offer.
