CHAPTER 4: Discovery II

I went to classes with them, you know universities, teachers don't usually know all of their students and some students like joining classes they don't belong to, by mistake or intentionally so I tagged in, people were looking at us probably wondering who was the new girl hanging around the popular girls or maybe how I don't match their level or maybe I was their servant, you know peer pressure.

God?

Why did I even think about that, just have to pray time passes real quick, 'cause none of my sisters were studying science courses, Phoebe was studying law while Meghan was studying Hotel and restaurant management but that was unlike her.

I mean Meghan, thought she was aiming to be a designer or activist but she surprised me.

seriously.

I was able to make it until around 5:30 it was announced that those representing their school a Roxxon, should start leaving to get on the school bus to go there and Roxxon, was were their.... I mean, our Mom works, don't even ask me how I found out, my sisters are blabbering sh*ts, they speak a lot.. PARROTS, the best word to describe them.

So guess what...

We had to go with the others,

Yeah tagged along.

And Meghan had to phone mom, telling her, we were coming to her work place to meet and it was strange when she said that she was asked to stay back at the seminar to supervise which wasn't supposed to be her work and she was about to call us before we did, so we figured out that it to stay back at the seminar and wait for her.

When we got there, it was filled with students and middle aged people I was wondering where all these people came from till Phoebe said that it was from their schools and other schools in Detroit and around the country. So this is huge, the population was much.

It looks like we're few minutes late cause it already started, the woman speaking to be explaining stuffs on magnetoreception, but can't detect the earth magnetic field were they experimenting on fishes or frogs, oh poor little animals

So when we found Mom, she was speaking with one of the securities maybe on how to keep the population under control. When she saw me she stopped talking and hugged me but I wasn't expecting that so I don't know how to react till I heard a sob, I knew she was crying so I hugged her back, what I really missed and have been yearning for. I lost my Dad and I got my Mom back, I should be relieved right but trust me I wasn't close to that, am now times two how sad I was before, what is all this?.

"Mom, what's going on?" Meghan asked in a confused voice, I frowned, I thought they knew about me, why the confusion.

"Am sorry girls, let speak over there." She pointed towards a corner while sniffing and wiping off her tears

When we got there, she nearly broke down again, I had to hold her hand which made her smile.

"Am sorry, how have you been?" She looking at me longing and guilt.

"I've been okay Mom, Dad treated me like princess and my life has been smooth sailing". After I said that I can feel tears start running down my cheeks, I missed Dad.

"Where's your father?, I told him to keep you out of danger and this is what he's doing." I can feel that she was pissed off like a mother who was trying to protect her child, this made me think about my father, even though I know he was murdered, the act on him itself was really suspicious, why was he killed?  was it really because of a rival competitors in his business?.

I've been asking that to myself but I seem to really not figure it out.

"He's dead Mom, he was murdered in our house" I broke down in tears, they really tore me apart. I can hear my mom and sisters, it was terrible.

"What?, Oh my God, This is bad, how could them" Mom covered her face while crying, who are they?, My dad's killers, we were interrupted by a man in suit with kind smile on his face walking towards.

"Mrs Collins the director wants to see you, someone else will take over your work here" he said professionally but he didn't leave

"Okay, girls I'll be leaving, stay together and informed, I'll be back soon" then she turned to the man "lead the way Aaron" Mom said to the man, we watched them walk away to a different corner.

"Oh my God am so sorry, you didn't say anything, how would we know something like that happened, am really sorry" phoebe said trying to comfort me, while Meghan was already crying tears hanging on her eyelashes while she was nodding concurring with her sister.

"Am sorry too, but has the police found out who did it" she asked

"Not yet"

" You're gonna be okay, we're here" Meghan added smiling trying to cheer me up.

Was this really happening...

Having people who cares about me apart from my Dad.

A loving mother and supportive sisters.

We returned back to the seminar after Mom left we'll have to go back with her, we haven't stayed more five but we heard rumbling like an earthquake is happening.

We all stood up, some Started murmuring while some were panicking, was there a earthquake alert about this side and we didn't know about it

"We have to find Mom". I turned to my sisters, after the consoling part, I feel like I was closer to them.

"Yeah, we need to get out of here, somethings is not right " before Phoebe could finish what she was saying the emergency lights goes off

"Sh*t" Phoebe cursed

"You guys start going I'll find Mom" she added

"Are you out of your mind, how could you say that, we're in this together remember" Meghan said definitely irked while I nodded stating my ground. Mom ran to us.

"we need to leave right now" she said leading us out of the hall as fast as she could, people around us started running out while panicking, we haven't reached the door when we heard the second rumbling which was louder and clear, it seems like something underneath was exploding causing this rumblings. Walls started to crack while tried hard to push ourselves out, we on the stairs leading to the outer door when we heard boom!!...

Silence and black out...
