Chapter 43: Cleaning

Rhiannon's POV

It was a rare occasion that John stayed over at her place. Not that John had a problem with Rhiannon's apartment. He had told her it was quaint, cozy, cute even. It was just a little more difficult to keep things under wraps here.

However, they had been unable to keep their eyes open after staying up all night watching romantic comedies, so he had crashed here.

Rhiannon watched a couple of eggs frying in the pan as she mashed up avocados to put on toast. Maybe it made her some sort of stereotype, but avocado toast was delicious, and John admitted to never having tried it before.

He slept heavily in the bedroom. Rhiannon didn't own a coffee maker, but John had given her one that made single servings from those little plastic cups. He had left a handful of the cups, so he had coffee when he was here. Rhiannon picked one she thought looked good and set the machine to make him a mug of coffee.
