As tired as Jacob may have been on this Monday morning ultimately there was no turning back now, he was already on the road leaving his house and figured he might as well just deal with the day as it goes, so looking on he just kept driving knowing at this rate he should make it to his first class on time, which was probably the only thing positive he was thinking about.
As he drove through the small county of Livingston he saw not much more then a few cars and a whole lot of trees before getting on the main roads to actually get too his school, but that's just how it was in a small town in Virginia, and ultimately this was what he considered peaceful as it's the area he had lived in his whole life, so the absence of big city life was calming in a way.
But after about 20 minutes of driving he started to come into a more urban looking area, or if one wanted to be technical it looked more like a downtown area of sorts, with restaurants and shops littering the sidewalks that at this time were mostly empty, not as if they would've been super busy during any other time of the day anyway, but after another minute of driving Jacob came up on a big building that was more isolated from the town with greenery around it which he had been accustomed to calling his school the last few years, Mountain View High.
As he was pulling in behind a line of cars also trying to find their way into the crowded parking lots Jacob didn't even bother trying to find a spot closer to the front as he knew his attempts would be in vain considering it was already 7:20 and most of the students were already here, considering nobody wanted to be late for their first day, the only people who hadn't already gone in for the most part were the people running late such as himself and the delinquents who could have cared less about if they were in class or not as they sat outside smoking and laughing it up.
Jacob parked his car in the back and made his way towards his school as to ensure he made it to class on time, and he was pretty happy with himself that he had actually managed to get out of bed to make it on time to "such an important day", or at least that's how he thought everyone else looked at it.
So making his way to the front of the building he looked at the big letters that were up against the wall and read out his school name to himself one more time "ugh… Mountain View High, you know maybe this year just might be better" he though to himself, but just as he had those thoughts he heard a familiar voice behind him and remembered one of the main reasons he didn't want to be here to begin with.
"Heyyy Jakey, I'm sure you missed me didn't you" said the boy, and as Jacob turned around he realized his suspicions were right, as standing in front of him was Carson Mooney, star athlete, ladies man, and most importantly, Jacob's worst nightmare, for he had been bullied by Carson ever since his freshman year, and seeing him again had just built up a certain level of anger inside Jacob, but he knew that no matter what was going through his head of what he wanted to do too him, was more then likely just gonna backfire.
With a defeated face Jacob simply replied "what do you want Carson?" and the former looked a bit stunned at his reply, but after a second a huge smile appeared on his face as he acknowledged his question "well I just wanted to check up on my favorite Junior of course, how ya been", and while Jacob was surprised by his answer, he knew that he obviously was putting on an act, so he started to walk away as not to be late to class, for it was already 7:25 at this point since the walk from the back of the parking lot wasn't exactly a short one.
While walking away though he felt a hand grab his backpack and next thing he knew he was up against the wall with a forearm jammed into his neck making it near impossible to breath, "oh cmon, I was just tryna have a conversation with you, why the rush" said Carson, and while some other students may have seen what was going on nobody dared to mess with him, knowing he was not one to be fucked with.
Jacob sitting there choking felt helpless and realized he really should have just stayed home, because it wasn't worth dealing with this again, but after a second he felt Carson's arm release from his neck allowing him to breath again, "Well would you look at that, It's almost time to be at class, guess we'll have to catch up later, see you at practice Jakey, that is if you're even gonna tryout considering you're not gonna start anyway" said Carson smiling as he walked away and all that Jacob could think was "I fucking hate him" as he made his way too his first class of the day not wanting to be late on his first day even after what had happened, because for him, this was the normal, and nothing he could do was going to change that.
