Chapter 14: Time skip

1989 April 17

It has been a year and half since I have arrived this world. 1988 proved fruitful year. I grew as a portioneer . I could brew every single potions needed for owl perfectly. I knew every single potion ingredient by heart.

My knowledge in herbology had grown since it was necessary for potions and rituals. I studied potions, herbology till 7th year completing Hogwarts curriculum I could not do so in charms since I had not access to a wand and memorizing things blindly would not help me.

I also started to learn subjects that did not require a wand like arithmetic, numerology, Astrology but not very seriously. I started to learn a subject which took a lot of time and that was enchanting but since higher enchantments required wand I stopped at elementary.

In this year I had looked every where for books on divination the problem was all of them would truly be useful after some one had the talent or I should say inner eye. I searched every where and I finally found something.

In the legends merlin uses the gift of prophecy to fulfill his destiny but apparently merlin had not been given the gift of inner eye till the middle of his journey. It got me thinking and I researched merlin's life. There are a lot of contradictory facts about his time and all I could deduce is if the legends are even remotely correct merlin only became a seer after coming into contact with the lake of Avalon. Excluding the fairies and other mythical elements from the story, estimating the date of merlin travelling there ,the location and the positions of star. I theorized merlin had gone through a ritual unknowingly.

This year I did not just give up half way on my rituals I searched every where and did everything in my power to acquire books on divination but my effort proved unfruitful. Fortunately before I gave up entirely I visited grandfather again. Surprisingly Abraham family 's library was extensive though I admit living in the 21st century and watching the series ridiculing Malfoys made me ignore the recourses a noble family posses.

If my guess is right merlin did the ritual accidently meaning the ritual I had prepared with my knowledge and strange talent is vastly superior to his. This thought brought a smile to my face. You do not want to know how irritating it is that people mention him every where "Ah merlin", "Thank merlin" some times I wonder if I can time travel see merlin and say Avada Kedavra

I had only heard some of the versions of merlin's legends at first I respected him but as I adapted to this world more and I considered this world more real and less of a virtual one I realized how stupid it is to separate magical population from muggles specially so when the rate of muggle reproduction is dozen of time faster. If before there was a chance that war could happen between these two societies as time goes on it will be a slaughter of magical kind.

I had already calculated the current location of the lake of Avalon by analyzing the extensive data my family's library provided of the legends. I had the house elf teleport me there I knew grandfather will learn about it but I worry about it later now its time for show.
