The hallway was not a good idea for an emergency exit, after all.
She gritted her teeth as the thought of no other way to surpass these people behind her. Disappointed was the best expression to reflect what she felt. She reminded herself to speak to the principal about this matter later. If she made it out alive.
Once she arrived at the canteen, she prayed the boys would see this mad chase once she gets there, they certainly will be by her side. As they would lend a hand to her, even if they were irritating sometimes, but she would be grateful, though, if they helped her out.
After running for quite a while, she continued to exhale with a panting breath. Sweats were dripped from the top of her head, down to her neck, etched a worried look on her face. Having the urge to take off her blazer, which made her even more torrid. But she gave up the intention when she saw that her main goal was in sight.
Soon enough, the canteen door had become more apparent in front of her, and she was almost close to the entrance. She thought about calling her mother after this was over. She also hoped that this chasing would be a prank from one of her rivals. Or perhaps more than just one.
Both of her hands reached forward. Her fingertips nearly reached the canteen door when someone deliberately reached her hair from behind, then pulled her, causing her to fall backward. The sound of her body slammed down to the floor, echoed through the empty corridor.
She closed her eyes when she fell, and then immediately stroked her sore back with one hand, worried if her spine were fractured. Then, she rose gently, lifting herself using the other hand. Her body was in a lot of pain, but she could not feel if her bones were broken. She might have to check to the doctor later.
"Damn it ..." She grimaced in pain.
Slowly, she opened her eyes to see who had pulled her hair. But, her nose was already covered with a cloth. Her eyes widened in shock. She glanced to her right, there was a girl with red hair, covering Roxie's breath. Then, she furrowed her eyebrows, familiar with the person.
'Eris?!' Roxie knew her. She was one of Courtney's people.
Eris has a sinister look on her face, smiling wickedly, as her right hand wrapped on the fabric on Roxie's nose, while the other hand was placed on Roxie's neck to push Roxie further into breathing to the fabric.
Urgently, Roxie took Eris's hand and forcibly removed her hand from Roxie. Eris tightened her grip, as Roxie continued to struggle, trying to let go of Eris' hand. But it didn't work because Eris' grip was too strong.
Roxie wondered perhaps it was due to she was getting weakened, caused by the anesthetic that Eris had put on her. Also, she had a terrible empty stomach. She hasn't eaten her lunch.
The scent of the fabric grew stronger on Roxie's nose, as she breathed into it, gradually leaving her unable to see clearly.
"Mmmhh! Mmh mmhh mmmmhhh?! (Hey! What the hell are you guys doing?!)" She yelled through her cloth-covered nose, which covered her mouth as well. Her grip was still on Eris's hand, she kept fighting to release her hand.
"Oh, shut up Roxanne. We won't hurt you." She could hear the giggling of a girl's voice. Yet the figure was blurred in front of her. But she figured the voice belonged to Courtney, her most favorite enemy in the school.
Her sight started to be dull. Her hands gave up as the tiredness washed over her body. She felt her hands soon being pulled, then tied to her back, restraining her from moving too much.
She kept fighting back sloppily to get her hands back from the person behind her. She couldn't see her clearly, but she knew her. Another ally of Courtney, who has the strength like a man, it was Tina.
She was ambushed by the demons at her school.
"Mmmhh! Mmmhhh mmhh!! (Help! Help me!!)," She screamed, hoping that anyone could hear her. It took a lot of effort for her to scream like this. Time passed slowly as she waited.
Courtney chuckled, "What's this? The great beauty of our school asked for help? You must be kidding me," Courtney laughed and her friends started laughing too.
After realizing that no one had come to save her, her eyes began to burst into tears. She cried not because she was sad, but because she couldn't beat these people who had ambushed her.
"Oh, poor thing. She's crying," said Tina who held her from behind while laughing.
Then she stopped laughing, as Courtney glared at her, and then ordered Eris beside Roxie, "She's weak now, go remove the cloth from her."
Swiftly, Eris removed the cloth from Roxie, and she could finally breathe well again. Except, she lost all her strength and consciousness, to even when she wanted to fight back, she couldn't.
"Ah, look at her eyes. I can see myself from there. It can function well as a mirror," said Eris, who had just removed the cloth while styling her hair in front of Roxie's vision, and they all laughed.
Roxie's head hung down, unable to maintain it straight. The anesthetic has worked well on her body. She frowned when she heard the laughter of these people. She was really mad, but all she could do was crying. Her tears rushed out, soaking her face, then formed a pool of tears on the floor. She sobbed even more until she grew tired.
Due to the drugs, her oxygen began to reduce. As her watery eyes started to close gradually, and her head began to feel very heavy. She then laid down calmly on the floor beside her.
"Let her go, for now, Tina," Courtney said with an authoritative tone.
Tina nodded her head then quickly removed her grip from Roxie's hands. Then, Roxie's hands fell limply to the side. Along with her long dark hair that was spread messily on the ground.
"Okay, now let's take her to the school warehouse. Tina, Eris," Courtney ordered her friends while clicking her fingers.
Quickly, they both grabbed Roxie's body. Roxie's arms were lifted by Tina in a matter of seconds, while her feet were lifted by Eris. Eris had trouble at first when Roxie's feet kept falling. Then, she tightened her grip to it, putting all her strength in lifting Roxie's feet. And finally, both of them succeeded lifted Roxie's body, then continued carrying her to the school warehouse, where it was on the corner of the school.
'I'll get my revenge ...'
That was her last thought before she eventually gave in to the sensation of fatigue in her body.
