Chapter 9: Not So Impossible Now Huh?

Roman looked over all of the changes he just underwent with glazed eyes. He was just too confused and tired to even care anymore. For example, how could a fusion of abilities and a talent lead to a Blessing? It doesn't make any sense to him.

[Unfortunately Sir, I don't have enough data to even create a valid theory to that inquiry. I too was confused when it became a Blessing, as I didn't notice anything occurring.]

That's how it's been so far, he's been ending up having more questions to be asked than questions answered.

'Is it even possible for a person to have more than one Blessing?'

Once every year, allows you to perform a fusion of abilities, should they succeed.

(Warning! Currently impossible to determine how fusion is possible, and what can be fused. Warning! Currently impossible to determine if it's somehow harmful in any way.)

Passively provides a boost in the growth of your mental parameters.

Passively adds a +10 to all of your parameters. May be subject to chance as you grow stronger. /

Note: This passive bonus will not show on your parameters screen as I cannot actually sense it helping at the moment. / Note: Not enough information on Spirit in order to determine how it affects it.

Immensely boosts your information processing, analysis, learning speed, and talent in all forms.

Note: Does not seem to include your possible natural talent. More data and testing required.

Note: It has been determined that this Blessing is able to grow with time and testing in terms of possible applications just like Blessing - Godly A.I Chip. It also has been determined that the Blessing possesses a consciousness similar to a 10 year old human child.}

Roman was slightly disappointed about his physique. Although it's nice there's still a chance for his Physique to provide resistance, counters, or maybe even something similar to immunity, it's completely up to random.

He's basically a low budget level of Doomsday just like he thought.

Though, his new Blessing was a huge surprise to him. Those 2 'Active' forms of application sounds like a cheat code from some game. Especially the skill fusion.

He thought he would have to wait for such an ability to be generated before thinking any further down that line of thinking, yet he got one almost right off the bat. Sure he almost died in the process, but he feels like he's slightly over that by now.

Although, those warnings did dampen his mood a bit.

'Looks like I have to start getting used to the possibility of death.'

Roman sighed at the thought.

Yet something else also concerned him.

'Holmes, can't you connect with the other Blessing since they have a consciousness?'

[Of course theoretically I should be able to, and have indeed tried just like with your ability. However, they seem to be blocking me in an easy manner and sending back the message, of 'It's not the right time.']

Taking a few more minutes to absorb all of this new information, Roman decided to move forward with his plans and ignore that strange, yet also slightly, danger-induced message.

However, he halted his thoughts once again. Every time he wants to continue, something else pops up to stop him short, so it's probably better to confirm if there's anything else he's missing first.

'Holmes, is there anything else I need to know before we begin?'

Roman began to consider his options seriously. He already knows the pros and cons about Power Stealing, and he already feels like Peak Conditioning would currently be useless, so obviously he should choose the other 3 options right?

'You have any new suggestions on Power Stealing and Peak Conditioning Holmes, or should I just ignore them like last time?'

[My previous thoughts on Power Stealing remain the same, however you never asked me about Peak Conditioning before. I believe that there is more to the description than you probably understood.]

Roman looked back on that, and indeed agreed with Holmes on that. At the time, he was already upset with his physical state, so after reading the description, he just moved on right away since he didn't even want to consider remaining like this.

Taking another look at his options, he quickly realized something, and decisively made up his mind.

'Holmes, take Peak Conditioning, Item-Duplication, and Super Speed.'

That same comfortable feeling just like before returned, and this time, he got to feel every second of it without any of the previous pain.

After almost 10 minutes, that feeling faded away, leaving Roman slightly lost at first before he quickly gathered his bearings once again.

After willing a knife to appear once again from thin air, he held it in his right hand, then focused on the knife, and tried imagining another one appearing on his left hand.

He did this for a minute, until suddenly, another knife, similar to the one in his right hand appeared out of thin air in his left hand, leaving him dazed for a moment.
