The Arnoux Clan
Days passed and the weekend came. Selene woke up early today even though she didn't have class. She was excited and nervous at the same time. The young lady was happily humming a sound when someone entered the kitchen.
"Good morning, dad. Did you sleep well?" She greeted from the sink. After peeling the potatoes, she washed it carefully through running water. "Do you want me to brew you a coffee?"
Silence replied to her, so she turned off the faucet and wiped her hands, leaving the peeled potatoes on the basin. Looking at her father, she knew that the old man wasn't in the mood today.
"What's wrong?" Selene continued taking mugs from the cabinet. "Don't tell me you won't eat again. You know that we are going to have lunch here." She turned on the brewer and put the socket on.
The light went from red to green and the small noise of coffee beans getting grinded tickled her ears. Selene sighed. "Dad? At least gave me a word."
