Doubtful Thoughts
"Say, Kiel. I heard your sister got into an elite university."
Kiel's hand irked and his fist suddenly hot, wanting to clench. Those words suddenly pricked something deep inside him.
"Yes, chairman." He replied.
Donovan huffed and watched the fumes get mixed in the air. He didn't look at the assistant on face but he knew how he would react when it comes to his sister. This is his advantage. He knew everything about Kiel from his past to his future.
"How's your father?"
Kiel swallowed the hard lump in his throat. "He was–doing fine, chairman."
Donovan snorted into a chuckle. "I see. Good for him." He put the cigarette between the stands of his ashtray. He noticed Kiel's cheek and the red mark on his face from his slap earlier. It made him grin.
"From what I have observed, Selene is a smart kid. She grew up so well just like her brother. You never fail to amaze me."
"Thank you for the compliment, chairman." Kiel said.
