Rose and Hans kept reading "the book of light" to know more about what did happen in the past.

- When Merina died, Meredith became so angry. She swore to kill all the werewolves as revenge for her mother's death. So, she made a magical weapon and gave it to a king in return for marrying her.

- Didn't Seraphina's mother do the same thing? She treated your mother on the condition that your father marries her. 

- That's right! I become more sure that Meredith in the book is Seraphina's mother.

- She used the king to do the dirty job on behalf of her. How a lowly act came from a master from light.

- Don't be harsh on her. She felt regretful after the king killed all of the werewolves using her weapon.

- That won't change the fact that she killed us.

- But you are now alive because of her.
