Chapter 49 Multiplying monsters

The blue light of tesseract covered the sisters as they teleported near the exit of Asgard which is the place they were heading to.

Amora wiped her sweat and looked at her sister with a smug look since she had won against the monsters that could kill them. Her hands were trembling with excitement, her eyes were brimming with joy as she thought about the flustered look of Hela.

" We need to go before they find us."

Amora urged her sister to move quickly before Arthur arrives here. She heard Arthur was fast as light. Therefore, she didn't want to gamble on her hard-earned victory and trophies of war.

Lorelei nodded in the agreement since it was too late to go back to Asgard. They will kill them if they catch them.

Her pretty eyes showed determination to save both of them as she marched with her sister to the exit where they can leave this realm. Her robes and hair were fluttering in the wind which would be converted into smoke in a few minutes.

She raised the tesseract and left to the space where they hid the spaceship.

Meanwhile, Hela was boiling with anger. She grasped her spear until her palm oozed with blood.

" Calm down. It is not time to be mad. We need to eradicate those creatures."

Arthur reminded her goal. Hela flinched for a moment and took a deep breath to calm down her bloodlust.

" Destroyer, go out and destroy those bugs."

Hela ordered it to wipe out, but she knew it was impossible because those creatures were multiplying at incredible speed. She needs to figure out to destroy them in one swoop. Thankfully, Arthur was also experienced with this kind of dilemma since he fought against void creatures in many dimensions. They were similar to these bugs and they could be easily dealt with because of his large-area attack method.

" Hela, I have a plan. Go around and gather those bugs to the square, I will burn them to a crisp with my fire. Your attack isn't suitable for such a method. You might destroy half of Asgard."

Arthur said, looking at her with a calm look. Hela nodded in the agreement as she flew away. She knew she had to hurry before those things get out of control.

Arthur pressed his ear and said loudly.

" All units, attention. This isn't a drill. Prepare to evacuate the citizens and kill all bugs on the sight."

He tightened his armor as he flew after Hela. Arthur was incredibly fast, he was utilizing his speed to the maximum speed.

Boom*

Arthur stood up in the air and looked around himself with a serious look. He turned his head around a few times as he pinpointed the areas where the bugs were multiplying. He raised his hand.

" Light descent!"

He muttered, closing his eyes to focus. Countless light droplets appeared next to him and disappeared in a flash.

On the other hand, the warriors of Asgard were having a hard time battling against these unknown creatures. Sif slashed the bug down as she gasped for air. She was tired to fight against these bugs that were appearing from nowhere. They didn't have a formidable strength or speed, but the sheer quantity was enough to burn her out in a few seconds since she was pushing herself to extreme speed and concentration.

" Sif, this is bad. We can't let them pass us."

Fandrall shouted, slashing down the bug with an exhausted look. He couldn't remember how many bugs have he killed in the last few seconds. Perhaps, he might have killed thousands of them, but still, they were popping out like an endless ocean which devours everything on its way.

" Wait till the supports arrive. Heimdall is transferring them to Midgard. We can't possibly leave our people behind."

Volstagg panted, crushing the bug with his brute strength. His armor was tainted with the blood of those disgusting creatures.

" I don't think we can hold on much longer. Our stamina is running out."

Hogun said, stumbling on the ground. His arms were crying out with pain and his muscles were twitching with ache.

" Don't worry, Arthur is destroying them with his force. We need to hold them off until he or Hela arrives here."

Sif said, blood dripping down her face. She heard the screams of anguish around her, but she knew she has to stand tall. Otherwise, they will be consumed just like others.
