Chapter 31 Just stop for a day

" Sylas, it appears you are their leader. Can't you back off since you can't defeat that giant?"

Arthur sighed, pointing at Galio who was watching them with interest. Although he was a guardian of Demacia, he had a keen interest in its people. Especially, he had been sleeping for years and this was the first time that he met aspects and two of that.

" Impossible. He had killed our king and my king. Even if you were Fiora's fiancé and aspect, I will stop you with my life."

A man with a lance came before him, showing his resolution, but little did he know that Arthur wasn't fazed by him at all. He knew the identity of this man by the looks of his people and saw the soldiers behind him with various equipment that could negate magic power. However, in front of the greatest mage and sorcerer alive, these things weren't that much despite their material.

Arthur could destroy them with just his physical strength or his sorcery and other powers.

" I assume you are their leader. Can I know the process of the incident and why did this happen in the first place?"

Arthur asked, creating stone chairs from the ground to invite the leaders to sit with him. He also created a table and looked at them calmly.

" I don't mind it, though."

Sylas said, crossing his arms while thinking about his moves. There was no way that he could defeat two aspects and there was no way he could escape from him despite his unique magic. He could try to steal his magic, but he dismissed the idea, knowing this would screw him over if he fails to do so.

" Jarvan, sit down."

A woman's voice came out as a woman walked out from the crowd. The two horns on her head and her familiar scent immediately attracted Arthur's attention.

" A dragon. You shouldn't walk among humans because your power is too dangerous for normal people."

Arthur said out of concern, imagining the worst outcome. Even half-dragons and wyverns could destroy cities, so it was pretty logical to assume this one could do the same. Besides, in every world dragons had particular weaknesses despite their godly power.

" ..."

Shyvana fell into silence because she also felt a familiar scent from him. A dragon whose power was much stronger than hers and he seemed to suppress her blood which meant he was at least an elder dragon or even king of dragons.

" She is my guard. You can rest assured."

Jarvan spoke lightly, sitting down while placing his lance or javelin next to him. The tension between both sides was no joke as they glared at each other. Specifically, mageseekers and mages looked at each other like they were ready to devour each other.

" So, I took a gist of your circumstances and understood that this was inevitable to happen sooner or later since your people were afraid of mages. However, have you ever thought they are humans too? Your radical thoughts and ideology is killing innocent souls."

Arthur criticized their system when they were looking at him. The mages nodded behind him, taking his side with him while Galio was just yawning. He was waiting for his moment to shine.

" You realize that they caused destruction eons ago. The very existence of magic is dangerous."

Jarvan said calmly, believing magic is dangerous. Shyvana who was standing behind him clenched her fists. She felt disappointed and betrayed by her friend and companion.

" Magic is indeed dangerous. However, there is no power without risk. You are making things out of hand by thinking that you are right. You need to walk beside them and see what they see and feel what they feel."

Arthur spoke harshly, telling the truth. Honestly, he despised mage-seekers who enjoyed hunting innocent people. Hence, he was sharpening himself to invite them over if things get complicated.

" See him. Do you believe he can forgive us? At least his father was wiser than him."

Sylas snorted, showing his aggression. He was sick of this hypocrisy and he hated his home country.

" I see no point in talking if he is like that."

Jarvan sneered at him coldly, trying to get up, but he found his body was heavy like a rock. No matter what he tried he was unable to move.
