Page III - Entering Nerivilya Academy

As Theodore looked back for the final time, he saw Isabelle waving at him. "..." The stinging pain in Theodore's heart is gone. But the feeling of loneliness still lingers in him. But he just kept his feelings hidden inside and entered the bus knowing that his life with Isabelle will be gone.

"Theodore Payne right? From the Newbird Middle School?" The lady in the bus wearing a business suit.

"...Yeah." Theodore replied.

"Good. Then bus driver, we have everyone here. Let's go to the Nerivilya Academy."

Theodore hurried on to his seat in the side of the bus. He sat down as he looked outside the window. He brought out his phone and wore his headphone.

But another kid across him came over to him, "No headphones or earphones allowed until the woman in the front finishes her speech."

"I see." Theodore put his headphones and phones back in his back and looked outside the window.

"Attention, everyone!" The woman in a suit that welcomed Theodore suddenly spoke. "My name is Bridgette Meystein. I will be your guide for today as a part of a welcoming ceremony for the Nerivilya Academy. If you want to relieve yourself there's a comfort room specifically split for boys and girls at the very end of our bus. If you want more information about the Nerivilya Academy, there'll be pamphlets at the small table in front of you. The one that's sticking out from the back of the seats of the one in front of you. That'll be all. Take a good rest until we arrive to Nerivilya Academy."

As Theodore was about to put up his headphones to sleep, he was suddenly stopped by his new seatmate. "Hey! What's your name?"

"...Tsk." Theodore tried to drive him away. But he's resilient.

"Did you just click your tongue on me? Come on man, what's your name?"

"...Theodore Payne."

"Theodore Payne... so... Theo!"

"..." Theodore looked at him disgusted.

"Too soon...? Alright then Theodore, I'm Ray Moore. I'm from the Sleeping Dogs Middle School. Nice to meet you."

"Same." Theodore tried to put up his headphones once again but he got interrupted again.

"Hey, hey, what kind of things are you interested in?"

He knew that he couldn't get away from this situation like he did in his middle school days. "This is annoying... I guess I'll talk to him until he's tired." He thought to himself. So he had gone along with him, "Writing."

"Oh, nice! I'm into gaming myself. I've been playing games like Universecraft and Dark Ring myself. Are you into gaming like me?"

"Auntie bought me some games but I never got into them." He remembered but he couldn't say it to Ray. "No." He replied.

"Then if we get to the academy let's play games!"

"I hope I never meet this guy again..." He thought to himself. "Sure." But he couldn't just say it outright. Theodore knew that the conversation ended there but Ray still managed to press on for more information.

"Hey, hey!"

Their conversation lasted for hours and Theodore saying, "Yeah, Sure, No, I don't know." It was an incredibly dry conversation but it seems that Ray enjoyed himself while talking to Theodore. The moment their conversation ended, they arrived at Nerivilya academy.

"We're here!" Bridgette announced to everyone at the bus. "Now... Welcome everyone. To Nerivilya Academy."

Its title as a prestigious school and one of the best was not a joke. Its giant entrance gate at the front has butlers and maids all there welcoming anyone who comes in. A giant fountain splitting the three paths in the middle of the academy and the gigantic school and all of these could be seen the moment you face the gates. It was an overbearing and amazing sight as the beauty of the school couldn't be described with simple words.

Bridgette gave us a tour of the school, "The fountain here at the front is called The Fountain of Life, I don't know why our headmaster named this that but this is basically the mark for our academy. The three paths that this fountain is dividing are directions to where you all should go. The left path is the way for the boy's dormitory and the right path for the girl's dormitory. The middle path is obviously the path we will take. Tomorrow, we will explore the school in great detail. For today, you can just take a rest. For the girls you will be lead to your dorms by our caretaker Elizabeth Steinsfield."

As Elizabeth waved her hand, the boys swooned over her. She wears a typical french maid dress but she has a badge on her chest that not the other maids have. "Hello everyone, my name is Elizabeth Steinsfield and I'll be the caretaker for the girl's dormitory."

Bridgette then introduced the other caretaker, "This guy here will be your caretaker for the boy's dormitory."

"Hello, I'm Neith Seppersilt," Neith has a butler outfit on him and looks nothing like your typical caretaker. He speaks with and moves with elegance despite being a man. "I'll be your caretaker for the boy's dormitory. If you have any questions just ask Ms. Elizabeth and me anytime you want."

Bridgette clapped her hand, "Alright, that's enough introductions. Mr. Neith, Ms. Elizabeth, please lead them to their dormitories. Everyone, form a line and follow these two."

Everyone followed their instructions and the boys and girls were split and headed to their own dormitories.

Theodore arrived at his dormitory and he's just in awe that even a dormitory has better furnishing and a better built structure than the ones you see on typical homes.

Neith clapped his hand twice to gather the attention of the boys. "Now, go to your own rooms. You will have a roommate so go be friends with whoever you're going to be paired with. There's already a nameplate on the door so if you see your name, just head in."

Theodore looked at the door of the rooms one by one to find his name. It took him time but he found his dorm room at the second floor. "...I hate this." As soon as he saw his nameplate on the door with someone, he facepalmed himself. "Why is that guy he-"

"Theodore!!!" Ray came running straight at him. "Hey, hey! It seems that we're roommates!"

The introvert meets the extrovert. Theodore's peaceful daily school life will continue to change.
