Unexpected Turn

In the demon world, there are 4 classes.

Demon Lord- The most powerful of the demons. These include the 7 deadly sins. These demons have Human Forms. Primal Form is their ultimate form.

Duke- Demon that has achieved a humanoid form rank below the Demon Lord. Every Demon Lord has at least 1 duke in their command.

Revenants- Powerful demons from hell that can take any shape or form. They can have tails, horns, wings, basically anything. These demons at any time evolve into a Duke.

Bottom Ends- Imps, Skeletons, and Fallen Angels.

The virtues and company face an unknown enemy beyond the gates of hell.

"Revenants ?." Everett wonders.

Suddenly, the door opens to a beast not human, with a goat in the middle and a lion's face and a snake's back, it was exhaling the dreadful flame of blazing fire.

"What is that?" Marx questions the group.

"A chimera," Mae says in a soft voice.

"This little pet of ours should be easy to handle for you guys," Luxk says.

"Marionettes retrieve the girl please."

The marionettes all shift their attention toward Mae as they all rush for her.

TEMPEST WINDS! "June Commands."

"Run" June yells.

Mae runs in the opposite direction running away from the fight.

"I'll stay with her," Everett says as he runs along with Mae.

"Go we'll handle these guys," Chonsee says.

Luxk leaves with his shadow with a smile on his face.

"Dammit," Marx yells.

"Stay focused" Chonsee relays to Marx.

"We have a bigger problem with these two."

The chimera makes a loud road as flames begin to protrude out of its mouth. It begins to spit firing flames and shooting them in all directions.

Chonsee begins to conjure up roots from trees to hold the beast down but the flames are too powerful. The chimera's face changes to the goats as it charges straight at Chonsee. "Marx," Chonsee yells. Marx runs to his position "Got it got it," Marx says as he makes a gun with his pointer finger and clocks it with his thumb. "Thunder Shot." Marx shoots a straight thunder beam right at the beast.

At the same time, June begins to walk on air using the air from her powers to generate pockets of air to shoot her up into the sky. She puts her hand into a praying motion and pulls them away as it creates a spear. She then shoots the spear at an extreme speed with the assist from the air.

"Have you forgotten about me?"

Marionettes that are carrying shields appear to protect the chimera.

"Huh," June says.

"What," Chonsee says.

"Motherf-," Marx says in disbelief.

"Dang, did I ruin the triumphant moment for you guys?" Dxn says holding the control bar of the Marionettes as three more appear. One with a sword and armor, one made outta shields, and one with a magic staff.

"No this is just a warm-up," Marx says confidently with June and Chonsee side by side as they stand across Dxn and the Chimera.

Everett running alongside Maeko.

"We should try and regroup with Captain Kaneda and the others to see how they're doing," Everett says.

"Yeah that seems like-."

Luxk appears in front of them about to grab Mae. Everett within a second goes prevents him from grabbing her.

"You seem to be a little quicker than our first meeting."

"Of course especially when you're about to kidnap my friend."

Everett charges in from an attack and gets blocked by Luxks blade. "Let's see how much your swordsmanship has improved," Luxk says.

Everett closes his eyes.

Everett thinks back to the Alexandria mansion on Seafoam.

Alice leads Everett into a white room filled with training supplies. "This is my training room this is specifically where I trained my magic abilities and where Dillia trained her swordsmanship. The room is built so you can change the location change the scenery do anything to it to make you feel comfortable. The great thing about her is that once you are inside time isn't an issue. You can stay in there for as long as you like time doesn't pass outside." So I suggest you spend as much time inside her as possible before we leave. Sorry, this is such short notice" Alice says.

"It's fine as long as I can become a better swordsman than I was yesterday," Everett exclaims.

"Good, there should be snacks, drinks, anything you need. Sir Lorenzo here will teach you more about the sword."

Everett is training with Sir Lorenzo they've been in the training room for 1 month.

"Again. Again." Sir Lorzeno says to Everett as he hits the practice dummy. "You must keep working Everett we only have so little time before you leave for the Emerald Isle. It doesn't matter if your blade isn't honed well with all these little spaces in between the seven edges." Everett slices the dummy "It can still cut."

"Remember to exercise swift, precise footwork. Know your attack range, sword technique, striking angles, parrying, blocking, and other associated skills. Take note of how your opponent is behaving physically. Is he or she safe or dangerous? Have you become overly focused? Not paying attention? Where does he or she intend to launch an attack? Is your opponent being overly aggressive? Take the appropriate action.

Use your attacks intelligently. Each assault should be timed and executed fast. If you approach it as if it were a "fight," you will lose. Using evasive footwork to evade an attack and strike when the opponent is vulnerable." Sir Lorenzo says.

"Alright practice with me again."

"Yes"

"This kid is most likely better than he was when he came in here," Lorenzo thinks to himself as he looks at the hundred dummies and swords that Everett broke since he came into the room.

Present time Everett opens his eyes "I will win this time and protect her." Everett smiles with confidence and courage sigil glowing.

Meanwhile at the Emerald Path

Captain Kaneda, Knight Jericho, Alice, and Dillia await the Revenant that emerges from the gate of hell. Captain Paige along With Lieutenant Cecilia protects Princess Emilia in the control room.

Out of the doors, harsh winds like a storm began to brew 4 beautiful women with wings as arms, claws, and bird-like features emerge. With all-black wings, a black dress, colored eyeliners, and different colored wings.

"Oh no am allergic to birds," Kaneda says running while chased by the hellhounds.

"What in the world," Jericho says.

"Milady this is," Dillia says.

"Harpies," Alice says.

The harpies begin to speak with their calm but demonic voices.

"We are servants from the dark" the harpie with the majority of her body being green speaks.

"We are the harpies." the Harpie with dark blue that's covering her wings.

"We have been sent to- " the Harpie carrying two swords with a tinge of red in her wings.

"defeat you." the one Harpie speaks dressed in all black.

"Aello the storm wind," the green Harpie says.

"Ocypete the swift-flying," says the Harpie with dark blue.

"Podarge the fleet-of-foot'' the harpie speaks boldly with the sword.

"Celaeno the dark'' is the less enthusiastic one out of all of them.

"Prepare to meet your doom Mage." all of them speak at the same time.
