Helena woke up the next day feeling empty. Her eyes stared blankly around her room, searching for Ethan.
Helena knew she wouldn't find her husband in her room or even in the entire mansion. Yet, she couldn't help why her eyes continued to search for him, hoping her guess was wrong.
In truth, she still wanted to be with Ethan, at least for another day or two. But it turned out she was sent home earlier. Helena felt annoyed by that.
"Sometimes, I hate the fact that I can't use magic," Helena muttered while caressing her still flat stomach, speaking to her unborn child. "If he had placed us both here, surely we couldn't do anything, right? Isn't that unfair? You have to side with me if you can use magic like your father. I will consider it a fair play." Helena smiled faintly, trying to motivate herself from the sadness that was running through her chest. But she knew it was pointless.
