An Inevitable Rampage

A severely wounded Duke Aldous had fallen to his knees, and had slumped face down to death.

Beside his diffusing pool of blood, Prince Derek stood tall with his back to him, sword hung straight at the side, as though he hadn't even taken care to look where he'd struck. His posture and focus were tilted away from his victim's, but laid on the face of an expressionless girl who at that same time was looking back at him.

 The two other knights who hadn't gotten a single chance to strike their blades, fearfully shifted back in caution. They had been gashed deeply across their bodies, but the Prince seemed not to take them too seriously, otherwise they would have slumped dead together with the Duke.

In the few seconds the bout had proceeded, his main target had been on the Duke, hence it was their luck they'd been ignored. However, the valiant, ordained, warrior knights of the great Kingdom of Astro proudly chose to be cowards at a period like this.
