In a world devastated by the invasion of strange souls from Earth, the residents desperately struggle to resist possession by these foreign entities. Amidst this chaos, we follow the intertwined stories of Hei Xin and Xu Jia. Hei Xin, fused with the soul of the final villain, and Xu Jia, who has absorbed the soul of the protagonist, both face an uncertain fate. However, only Hei Xin knows the hidden truth about the world and its inhabitants. Can these two characters, with their intertwined destinies, survive and uncover the secrets that could either save or doom their world? ----- I'm rewriting the chapters, to make them easier to read.
Before I took the bite, I realized that I couldn't eat it; Since as a 'Qi Practitioner' cultivator, I cannot consume food with a large amount of energy. Otherwise, it might overcharge my body and explode.
However, my reaction was not due to that discovery, but to two facts that I just realized. The first is that if I want to eat foods with Qi, I will have to digest them manually. And the second is that the plate of food in front of me doesn't have a single drop of Qi. I couldn't be more surprised.
Also taking out a pair of wooden chopsticks; I ate half, leaving the other for the reckless sleeper. If she continues to neglect herself like this, she won't survive much beyond five years. Sigh, thinking about her exhausts me deeply.
Anyway, how mean must they be to even steal the Qi from food? God, it was inside the space ring. Although I shouldn't be surprised, if they were able to snatch something as fundamental as the cultivation base, absorbing the Qi of the elements inside the ring doesn't seem so wild.
Not that it's a bad thing, since I don't need to worry about overcharging my body with energy by eating; but I feel cheated.
'Wait a minute, they won't be...'
Anxiously, I searched through my belongings inside the ring.
Ugh, thank goodness. It only happened with food and medicinal pills; the rest remain intact. Apparently, it only affected elements created from living beings. Except for the weapons, the only thing that changed was that the bond I had with some of them was broken. That may be a little work, but it won't make a big difference.
All I have to do is reestablish the link using a Qi signature. If the same thing happens again, they won't be able to affect me. Since now, the Qi in my body is inherently mine; and therefore, they won't be able to erase the Qi signatures left on them.
Sigh, I know the other party is dead; but I'm not sure if there is anyone else. I don't want the same thing to happen again when I'm about to kill that bastard. Although that won't affect me anymore, thanks to the Tiao Tian technique; I can't guarantee that they won't come up with another method as vile as that.
Sigh, I still need to go for the 'Tear of the Heavenly Soul'; one of the fifteen celestial weapons, along with the 'Orbs of the Eternal Watcher'. And that is not exactly close to the Si Xian Sect, on the contrary, it is very far from my current location. It's going to take me a long time to get it, but it will be worth it if it's for them.
With renewed determination, I approached to the sleeping beauty. I gave her a gentle slap on the face, which left her cheeks completely red.
"Aaaaaah, what are you doing?!"
I was silent for a moment, not responding to her complaints, and looking at her with a frustrated expression.
"Didn't I tell you to keeo an eye on while I cultivated?"
"Mmm, ..., Yes, …; You know, it was a long day."
With a more severe tone I said:
"Do you realize that we could have died because of your neglect? Unlike before, I can't afford to ignore the surroundings while i'm cultivating. If you continue like this, we won't survive long. Eat the food, we'll be out soon! "
While she ran towards the plate of food I left on the floor, I rummaged through my ring belongings, looking for something that can speed up our movement speed.
"And this blood?!"
"Focus on the food!"
"Yes!"
I could have explained where it came from, but I want her to understand the seriousness of her actions. Being careless in nature is the worst thing we could do in our current condition. Sigh, at least now I can use them.
With a thought, 5 objects appeared floating in the palm of my hand.
'I'll have to trust you.'
The bond that is formed with celestial weapons is deeper than just a simple Qi signature, they are linked to the soul of the person. As I merged with Mo Hei Xin's soul, the bond extended towards me.
I looked carefully at each one of them.
The fifteen Calestial Weapons are considered to be the most powerful tools on the continent, possessing immense power. However, I never had the opportunity to use them.
When I found them, I was already in the 'Immortal' realm; the only one on the entire continent. At that time, I no longer had any possible rivals, so I had no use for these heavenly weapons. It's not that they weren't useful, just that they were too wayward.
Bonding with them does not mean being able to use all their power. To this day, I am still unable to bring out all the powers that are hidden in them. The only thing I know about them is that they seem to have a total of six functions each, and each function has two abilities.
Ergo, each celestial weapon has 12 skills. Linking to them gives you the ability to use the first ability of each function; and the requirements to unlock the rest remain a mystery.
I scanned the five objects with my eyes: 36 spheres, each one of a different color and tone, resembling eyes; a long, flowing cape, made of a dark fabric that seems to absorb light; an elegant and simple ring, made of a metal that seems to change color depending on the incoming light; an elegant and discreet bracelet, made of a metal inlaid with small gems that shine like stars; and last but not least, an ancient and mystical lamp that emits light of varying intensity and tone, creating a magical and mysterious atmosphere.
I set my sights on the weapon with the most unlocked abilities, the 36 'Orbs of the Eternal Watcher'. I still have 3 skills to unlock for this weapon, not to mention the rest.
Well, the positive thing is that everything remains the same as before; the reboot didn't affect them. The negative thing is that it also remains the same, I still don't know the mysteries that are hidden in them.
They may have been created by the same people behind Ye Xiu and I wouldn't even know it. It's frustrating to have to depend on something that is of unknown origin, but I need it for my current situation.
To use them I am supposed to maintain a constant flow of Qi, but I can bypass this condition thanks to the particularity of my technique.
By having absolute control of the Qi in my body, I can make it circulate continuously and autonomously between me and the weapon; without the need to maintain constant circulation.
'I will trust you for my protection.'
-----
I will do a section of Celestial Weapons and their functions.
Thanks for the comments, I will take them into account.
