Abraham and Clarisse

Clarisse walked into the school with her head down; she didn't want to attend school today but her father had persuaded her. Well, she was scared that Abraham would tell on her after she attacked him like a monster the previous day, and even though her father had assured her that he wouldn't remember a thing, she was still scared.

She had a class to attend in a few minutes and Abraham was also going to be in the class, how would she face him the whole one hour? She doubted she had the courage to do it. She could still see that monstrous look she had on her face when she brutally attacked him, she was ashamed of herself and wished she wasn't this monster.

Clarisse arrived at the door of the class, she looked in and noticed some of her classmates discussing, the class had not begun and Abraham wasn't there as well. She thought it was best to sneak in and sit where he wouldn't notice her when he came in.

However, before she could walk in, she felt a tap on her shoulders, she turned back and was stunned when she saw Abraham standing behind her. They stood there staring at each other and then she ran off, heading back into the hallway she had come from.

"Clarisse, wait!!" she heard him yell but she didn't stop running. Even if he doesn't report her to the school authorities, he would be mad at her, and he would have questions that she wouldn't be able to answer, he is going to see her as a monster, a devil in human skin.

Clarisse ran from one hall to the other and at one point, she pushed a door open and ran in without caring to know what room she had gotten into. She just wanted to be away from Abraham.

She realized she had just gotten into the male changing room and she sighed; girls were not allowed in here, she just hoped no one came in here till she had the chance to leave.

Clarisse walked to the wash sink and turned on the tap, she carried water with her hand and used it to wash her face, but when she stood up and looked at the mirror, she could see Abraham standing behind her.

"Arhhh!!" she screamed in shock and turned to face him. "Look, I can explain, I am really…"

"No let me go first," he interrupted her immediately; surprisingly, he didn't sound mad. "I am really sorry about yesterday," he muttered and dragged the rope of his bag that was hung around his shoulders.

"Huh?" Clarisse muttered in surprise. Why was he apologizing to her? She was the one who attacked him for no valid reason and nearly killed him with her blood hungry vampire fangs.

"Yes, you asked me to be your boyfriend and I said no, that was really insensitive of me. I mean, I was just shocked and confused at that moment and that is why I reacted the way I did. I should never have rejected you, that was very silly of me. I have had a crush on you since forever and then you asked me by yourself. Very few girls have the courage to ask boys out, and yet I foolishly turned you down out of fear. So I am sorry, and I am ready now, I want to be your boyfriend." He explained in a rush of words.

Clarisse furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. What was going on? He suddenly liked her back? He has had a crush on her since forever? He wasn't talking about the attack on him and the monstrous look on her face when she tried to murder him on his way home.

"Abraham, are you sure you are okay?" she asked while scratching her head, just to make sure he wasn't high on something. "Like, you are not mad at yesterday?" she asked.

"Mad? Of course I am mad, I am mad at myself for refusing the most beautiful girl I have set my eyes on. You know I left school yesterday and went straight home which was unusual. I usually go to my uncle's place first and then go home. When it dawned on me that I had gone home without realizing it, I came to understand that I was lost in the thoughts of you, and that was why I missed my track. I was thinking about your beautiful blue eyes, and your silky black hair, your scent just like lavender and your lips are well-created. Please be my girlfriend, I am mad over you, Clarisse," he pleaded and went down on his knees.

Clarisse made him stand up immediately as she was shocked by his reaction, this felt too good to be true. Was she still asleep? She never had such good dreams, just nightmares so this couldn't be a dream.

"Please don't kneel to me, Abraham. So you like me?" she asked yet again for confirmation.

He nodded with a nervous look in his eyes. "Yes, I love you a lot, Clarisse. I am obsessed about you, please don't reject me," Abraham pleaded.

"Of course I won't, I love you too!!" she exclaimed and hugged him immediately.

If this was a dream, she didn't want it to end. She could feel butterflies swimming through her stomach, having the party of the summer. What the hell had just happened? Did her one year crush just propose to her? Did she just get into her first relationship?

Clarisse had no idea how this had happened but she was totally in for it, she was glad to finally be in her first relationship after nineteen long years, but she was still worried.

What if Abraham remembers what had happened yesterday? What if he learns that she is a monster from the pit of hell? A demon who fed on blood to survive, a being that enjoyed the darkness more than light?

How would he feel when all of this is revealed? He is going to hate her and then he would tell everyone that she is a monster and her life would be ruined.

Clarisse decided to push those thoughts away for the meantime; she decided to look on to the bright side. At least for starters, something that was supposed to be her worst day was now her best day in life

The person she likes also likes her and she is the love of the love of her life.

"Can I kiss you?" Abraham asked after they broke the hug and her heart flipped.

She flinched the moment he said that. He wanted to kiss her? She had never kissed before and that made her nervous. "Um… yeah, but not today… I mean, we just started," she said awkwardly to save herself from the embarrassment.

He smiled and nodded. "Sure, tell me when you are ready." He uttered and then took her hand. Together they left the changing room and walked down to their class. Clarisse had never been more excited yet nervous about anything.
