The Wedding Night (1)

Ch-100

After their bath, Adira gracefully made her way to the royal bedroom, the anticipation of a tranquil evening settling upon her. As she entered, a soothing scent of lavender and sandalwood greeted her, emanating from the carefully arranged potpourri scattered throughout the room. The soft glow of the oil lamps, their flames dancing gracefully, cast a warm ambiance that contrasted with the cool tones of the tapestries adorning the walls.

The grandeur of the room was evident in every detail. Muslin curtains adorned the windows, allowing a gentle breeze to dance through the room playfully. The bed, adorned with rich silks and plush pillows, stood as a testament to the luxury of the kingdom. Adira couldn't help but marvel at the intricate carvings on the furniture and the finely woven rugs that covered the marble floor.

The walls were adorned with majestic paintings depicting the kingdom's history and the exploits of its rulers. Adira's eyes lingered on a portrait of her husband, the king, his regal countenance captured in oils, his eyes seeming to follow her every move. The room exuded a sense of majesty, a reflection of the power and authority vested in the ruler.

As she took in the lavish surroundings, however, Adira couldn't shake the feeling of a peculiar emptiness that permeated the air. Despite the luxurious furnishings and meticulous decor, a certain somberness hung in the atmosphere. The oil lamps, though radiant, failed to dispel the shadows that seemed to linger in the corners of the room. The candles, though aglow, cast flickering shadows that danced on the walls like ethereal specters.

It was as if the room was for someone to stay but not to live. The sense of colors and liveliness had been deliberately omitted, leaving behind a room that, while undeniably regal, lacked the warmth and vibrancy that Adira had hoped for. She pondered the reasons behind this intentional design choice, wondering if her husband intentionally sought solace in the gloominess that enveloped his personal space. As Adira settled into the room, she couldn't help but feel an unspoken melancholy that lingered in the air, shrouding the royal bedroom in an enigmatic aura.

Again, her eyes went to another small photo frame beside his bed. In that, it has a painting of him and his other two sisters. She took small steps towards it, hoping to see it closer.

"My Queen," an attendee came in.

Adira turned around to face the attendee. "I was sent by the king. He ordered us to give you a massage," they said.

"Alright," Adira said.

Adira only wore a bathrobe after her bath. She was yet to change into her regal clothes. Slipping it off of her clothes, she laid on the bed over her stomach.

The attendee came and started giving her a massage. Adira felt like she was slipping into a dream land with the intricate massage she was receiving. Soon, her mother-in-law's personal attendant, Celia, came and instructed the maids to groom her properly.

"I am fine this way," Adira said with a smile.

Being naked in front of people was not new to her. It's just that these people were new to her. And the place was new too. She needed some time to adjust.

"My Queen, tonight is your wedding night," she said.

Adira was speechless. Suddenly, all the things she did with Zaros earlier came into her mind, making her shy.

"Seeing the marks, I don't think you need to be shy, My Queen," Celia teased.

Adira's eyes widened in shock. This… this… she didn't expect this. She immediately covered herself with the duvet, not caring that she was leaving oil marks on the bed.

"Y-you!" Adira was speechless. She didn't have a comeback.

"Well… we are going to be wife and husband. A little bit of romance will happen," she said shamelessly.

"Yes, yes. No one is denying it," Celia said with a smile that made her feel more embarrassed.

"Ahh!!! You guys are teasing me so much! I want my sister-in-law to help me get ready! You guys leave," she said with her puffed cheeks.

"It looks like I am being called," Lenora's voice came from a distance. Eudora followed her too.

"Celia, stop teasing my daughter." Eudora fake glared at her hand-maiden.

"Adira, you should keep your husband in control. If not, he would keep seducing you every time. It should be the other way around," Lenora advised her.

"You brat!" Eudora was speechless at her daughter's audacity to teach her daughter-in-law about bedroom tricks. She pulled her ear, making her wince.

"Mom, ouch, ouch, ouch, it hurts," Lenora complained.

"Then you shouldn't be a bad girl," she said before kicking Lenora out.

"We will continue later," Lenora yelled as she walked out.

"I dare you to come near her," Eudora yelled behind, making Lenora run swiftly through the doors without making her look back.

Adira was given a good massage, and every inch of her body was massaged properly. It took them three hours to massage her. All this while she fell asleep. From her little pinky finger to her toe, every part was soothingly massaged. She never felt this relaxed. Her back pain was eased by so many folds. She no longer feels any pain. Her head was massaged, and she felt like she had no head!

She woke up only when it was time for the bath again. This time, she was taken to a different pool. There were three different pools there. One was filled with milk, and another was filled with sandalwood water. The last was filled with medicinal oils.

Before she was given a bath, the attendees started to wax her with sugar syrup. Since they were vampires, nobody in the empire had any chance to shave or do anything. It's their serving. They were kind of excited to serve her. Adira didn't feel left out or odd with these people around her.

For these vampires, hearing a heartbeat, and a warm body was something rare. It was like Adira was their precious glass doll.

When everything ended, Adira felt she was in the air. Gosh! She needed something like this at least once a month.

She was so relaxed. Adira was dressed in her wedding night lingerie. As she waited for her husband. She fell asleep.

When the excited Zaros entered his bedroom, he turned speechless, seeing her asleep. His little boner was so disappointed. Sigh…
