Adira felt her world come to a halt seeing him behave like this. She knew they had a few disagreements but she thought they could sort them out after this wedding.

He was acting abnormally from the day he gave her a necklace for breakfast. It's as if he was under a spell. She felt tired and drained after all the things that happened. She didn't even have the energy to think about what he did to her.

Her brain was shutting down along with her eyelids. But she shook her head and ate her part of the food. She let her maids get her ready for the banquet. She was left alone to greet others. While her husband greeted the elders on his own after they were done doing the segments they were supposed.

When someone asked him where his wife was he replied saying that, he made her sit as he was afraid of her getting tired. Many teased him and her. But deep down in her heart, she knew what his intentions were.

After the painful banquet, she returned to her chambers. She wasn't allowed to eat food all thanks to her cruel husband. She drank her stomach full of water and decided to sleep. Her maids came and helped her get out of her clothes and made her wear chemise so that she could sleep comfortably.

She didn't know if her husband will come or not. So, she slept on the bed without waiting for him. The moment her head hit the pillow, she slid into a heavy slumber.

As she slept, she felt like someone yanked her out of her sleep harshly to the point that she fell to the ground hitting her head.

Her eyes flew open in a swift after being yanked harshly. She tried to stand up but she felt dizzy. She ended up falling back again as her dress tore at the corners slightly.

Yet, she stood up as she stabilized herself all while Zaros did nothing to help her stand up. He watched as if watching a bug.

Zaros entered his chambers feeling annoyed. He failed to notice the changes that were happening in his head and body. He doesn't know why but he started hating his wife. And the more he saw her the more irritated he became.

She was becoming a hindrance to his plans. And the irony was she was the key to the success of his plans. And thankfully she didn't bug him in the banquet much. One thing he liked in her was her obedience. If she continues this then he will allow her to live a bit peacefully.

After the long tiring day, he returned back to his chambers only to see her sleeping comfortably.

How dare she!?

He was suffering while she was sleeping! And that too on the bed he would sleep! He needs to teach her a lesson.

Zaros pushed her hard from the bed making her head bump into the hardwood cabinets. If she was a human, a purple bruise would have formed there already. There was a bruise that formed on her forehead already, but it will heal by tomorrow. He smirked seeing her struggle in getting up.

When she stabilized, he threw a glare at her and occupied the bed all by himself.

"You will not sleep on the bed from now on," he said without looking at her.

Adira just nodded and went inside the dressing room. There is a small couch she slept there in an uncomfortable position. She decided to let her maids bring an extra mattress sneakily into these chambers that way she doesn't need to suffer too much.

As the couch was small, she didn't get much sleep. She stayed awake almost all the morning. When it's evening time, she got up and dressed up for the breakfast as the newly wed bride.

She knew she have to put up an act in front of everyone starting today. Even after dressing up neatly she still felt she may not able to carry this for long.

After she got dressed up she saw her husband, who was already ready for breakfast.

"We will go together, fatty," he said as he looked at her through the mirror driving a sword into her heart. Tears threatened to fall from her eyes but she tried to hold them.

"And don't keep hopes on this. We will be a good couple in front of everyone but in the four walls, you will be nothing to me. You have to make sure that you will not appear in front of my eyes," he said dangerously as he narrowed his eyes at her.

Adira gulped down nervously. He looked no less than a monster. She doesn't want to provoke him as she doesn't want to face his anger.

She just lowered her head and clenched the sides of her dress tightly.

When it was time, he grabbed her arm harshly as headed toward the dining hall.

Adira noticed the genuine smile on others because of their wedding. She felt like an odd one out in the group of these happy faces.

"Smile, fatty. Don't keep that sour face. Do you want to see the consequences for this?" he asked as he whispered in his menacing tone in her ears. Adira gulped her saliva and nodded her head.

A big fake smile blossomed on her face.

She acted like she was so happy with her marriage. She chatted with her mother-in-law, and mother till her brother and sister-in-law arrived.

She noticed her sister was in a happy mood and that she was all smiling. Adira felt happy and envious of her sister-in-law. The blush on her face was a genuine one unlike the blush on her face.

Adira felt like she was sitting on pins and needles just at the start of the breakfast. She wondered how agonizing this breakfast can be till the end.

She prayed to god asking her to give her strength to face all this suffering.
