Ch-116

It's the magic globe of Azazel. It fell and broke. Giving a glance, Vrykolakas got back to his story.

"Indeed, it is. Women are some mysterious creatures in this world. They knew she wasn't someone who would run away just to escape two men's pursuit. She loved Lazarus. So, both Amdis and Lazarus tried to find the truth about her disappearance. They came to know I locked her in dungeons." he said with a proud smile on his face, which only looked disgusting with his rotten flesh.

"The creatures I created turned against me. The eldest was the most rebellious one. But my youngest was angry yet he calmed down. He always acted in the interests of his people rather than his own. He gradually forgot the woman when he found his fated mate. But Amdis rejected his fated mate and brewed a revenge plot. But Lazarus, the calm one, turned out to be the most vicious one." Vrykolakas eyes turned sinister. Among them all, Lenora was scared that his eyeballs would roll out of his body and look gorier than he already was.

"He kept stroking the flames of hatred and poison in my eldest son's heart. He tried to fight with me to release her. The second one's fated mate was a false cover to hide his aching heart. He was successful in releasing her, too. That bastard!" He slapped the chair he sat on, causing some of the flesh in his hand to peel off and fall at Lenora's feet. But instantly, he let out a roar of laughter that burst her eardrums.

"That kid… He thought he was playing hide-and-seek by closing his eyes. If he wants to play hide and seek, he should play while I am unaware. But I was aware, right?" Vrykolakas said it in an eerie tone.

"Cat thinks nobody can see it while drinking milk with closed eyes. But that's not the case, does it?" he smirked.

Lenora felt a chill run down her spine. His flesh was rotten, more than half in his body. It would not take much time for his body to rot completely.

"You killed her?" she asked, so into the story. Her eyes displayed genuine curiosity.

"I killed my eldest for helping the youngest one. Lazarus was angry at me for killing his brother. He bled under the full moon that day and made an oath to kill me one day for sure." Vrykolakas said.

"But he couldn't, right?" Lenora muttered. If he could, Vrykolakas would have been long dead. "Then… Is he going to wake up from his coffin too? But that's impossible for werewolves, though. Is it because he was the direct descendant of the original?" Lenora asked with a confused expression on her face.

Lenora knew she was being scrutinized by him from the start. She was trying her best to stay away from his scrutiny. She has to be as convincing as she can.

"Hahahaha!" Vrykolaka's inhumane laughter rang in the hall, fluttering away the furniture.

"Do you know? Both the coffins are empty," he replied.

Lenora looked at him with wide eyes. There are supposed to be three coffins. But there's only one.

"How? Amdis is killed. Still, his remains should be there, shouldn't they?" Lenora asked with confusion.

"I destroyed Amdis' remains. Then I killed Lazarus's lover. But that bitch already gave birth to a child of Lazarus secretly, which I came to know later," he said.

"You don't know that she gave birth to your grandson? How amusing," Lenora asked.

" Not a grandson, but a granddaughter. That woman is a witch. They can easily hide their appearances and transfer their children from one to another. That was how your bloodline came into existence. She is the start of Ravenna's bloodline. The blessed one of the moon goddesses. Her real name was Magissa Ravenna.

"Her existence scared the world and me too. I was hunting for her for a while, but that bitch hid under my nose. How dare she!" He yelled with pure anger that sent shivers down everyone's spines.

Adira trembled like a leaf at the burst of sudden evil energy from Vrykolakas.

"When I got my hands on her, I didn't make it easy for her. I ripped every part of her body as I killed her," he said with a sadistic yet satisfied expression. There was joy in his face as he recited each and every detail on how he killed her.

For some reason, Lenora felt an extreme hatred for this man. She felt like killing him the very second with her bare hands. As she heard his words, she felt like this thing happened to her itself. She didn't know that her eyes were gleaming with something different, which was going to put her in trouble that no one could save her from but...

"That bitch cursed me, saying she would reincarnate again to watch me getting killed by my own son. But foolish her doesn't know that… I killed her only to kill my son later," he said with a laugh.

"Did you kill Lazarus?" she asked. For some reason, she didn't like the question she posed. She wanted him to deny it and say he was safe.

"I did. I killed him. He wished that the moon goddess would give him another life to kill me again. Poor him. Creatures like us don't have another life," he said.

There was this anger that Lenora couldn't shake off when she heard Lazarus was dead. It's as if she felt like he killed Maximus. Every fibre in her body told her to kill that rotten maggot crawling disgustingly in front of her.

Lenora's blood boiled hearing his words. All the control she mustered till then were snapped in a second. Adira, who was pretending to be unconscious, doesn't know how to stop her. She can't quit her pretense right now. It would only make a bigger mess.

"HOW DARE YOU KILL HIM!?! YOU MONSTER!!!!" Lenora yelled all of a sudden and charged towards Vrykolakas. Lenora doesn't know why she was behaving like this. She felt like killing him after knowing Lazarus was killed by him. A voice in her head was asking her to kill him with all her might.

Before she could attack him, she was pushed back by a wave of dark energy. She hit the roof of the ceiling and fell down on her stomach. Disregarding the pain, she tried to charge towards him again, but again, he used his energy to throw her towards Adira.

"If you are going to act, act till the end. I was enjoying the show," Vrykolakas said with a smile.

"Azazel, your brain hasn't matured yet. You couldn't make out that she was acting from the start," he said.

"Father… her reasons were too believable," Azazel said.

"Back then, you couldn't get your mother-in-law or wife to undo my curse. Yet you shamelessly impregnated that wretched woman's bloodline. At least you raised that useless daughter, right? No! You have thoroughly disappointed me!" Vrykolakas yelled.

Azazel bowed his head in shame. Lenora's eyes widened at the revelation. From the start, she was the pawn. They used Adira to lure her. It was never Adira but her. She was the direct descendant of the Ancient and from the line of Ravenna. Rumors said her mother was the last in line, but no, it was her.

But again… If he knew she was acting from the start, why did he have this conversation with her until now?
