Coronation (3)

"Now, I know why you said no head accessories or minimal accessories," Eudora commented looking at the Tiara on Lenora's head.

"I know it right? I have been there in that place," Serene said.

"You know… she must have already started hating being the queen just for the sake of Tiara," Eudora said with a laugh.

"Let alone her, even I hated being queen just because of that heavy Tiara," Serene added with a smile.

Eudora chuckled at her words.

Lenora felt like her neck would fall off if she looked down or bent her head any lower.

She suddenly felt everything made sense to her. The head accessories, the heels, the lighter dress, but the heavier cape.

God!!!

She was tricked!!

There were a few more rituals before Elphaba bid her bye to them. By the time everything ended, there were only a few hours left before the sun rise. But no one left. They were happy to find the strongest royal couple.

And the appearance of the Amethyst stone was something to go down in the history books of the Werewolf history. The presence of an Amethyst ring was something that was considered a legend and a myth. But today… it was not the case.

It appeared!!!

They were happy.

The meet was savored among the crowd. The wine flowed between both races. There was no fight or disagreements. Everything and everywhere was filled with happiness.

The bond between the two races strengthened as the meat was shared, and the wine flowing along with the drums of blood was drunk.

Both Maximus and Lenora greeted every official with a drink and paid their respects. And they collectively clinked glasses with the crowd before they bid their byes to the night.

When the night ended, everyone dragged their full bodies to their places reluctantly as they were still immersed in the mood of partying.

Even Vampires can feel that there was some kind of hike in the strength of Werewolves. The reason was still a mystery to them. After all, they weren't werewolves to know the reason.

As Lenora entered her chambers, Serene followed her.

She went to help her with the tiara first. "I can do it, Mom," Lenora tried to do it on her own.

"I will do it. You can do it on your own from tomorrow," Serene said. Lenora wanted to deny her but said nothing as she doesn't want to reject her mother-in-law's kindness. Even though it was time for the sun to rise, she came all the way here just to help her.

Just then Eudora and Celia entered her chambers with exhausted yet satisfied smiles on their faces for her. She could say they were happy for her.

"You are here, Serene," Eudora remarked at her sister-in-law's sudden presence.

"I need to help her with undressing. If not she might break things, which might be unauspicious for her and the kingdom," Serene said.

Raya and Kylie were asked to take leave as Lenora has her both mothers on her aid.

As she watched her mother-in-law help her undress, she realized, it was hard for her to remove the cape and Tiara on her own. She saw how skillfully her mother-in-law removed them and remembered how she did it.

After helping her in getting out of the royal clothes, Serene and Eudora helped her in keeping those clothes safely aside.

"Let me draw the water for your bath, Lenora," Serene said.

"Mom, it's fine. The sun is rising up. You both should leave and retire to bed. I can handle it from here," Lenora said.

Serene was still not convinced by her words.

"Serene, if she says she can handle it. She can. I didn't raise her into a delicate flower but a queen. If she can't draw water for herself, she is useless. Come. Let's retire," Eudora said.

After hearing her only then Serene left.

Lenora took a long bath taking her sweet time. Today was tiring and heavy. The tiara itself made her wince in pain.

'Ufff! I need to wear that thing every day from now on,' she thought.

She wished she has some powers to magically make the tiara lighter. But she was not that powerful yet. Feeling sad and disappointed, she sighed heavily.

After the bath she walked into the closet and wore her night clothes. She never felt this relieved.

Ahhhwwweee…. The satisfaction of having a good bath after a tiring day was something that could not be said in words. She felt relieved and exhausted after her bath.

Just then she saw, Maximus entering the chambers already dressed in his night clothes.

"Where did you freshen up?" she asked.

"In the study," he replied. Even though he was tired, she could see he was trying to hide it as much as he could.

"You could joined me," she said.

"No. I wanted you to have your moment for a while after this long day. I think you needed it," he said with an understanding smile.

"I indeed needed that," she replied.

"I know," he said with a chuckle for which she reciprocated it.

"Well… you can still let me know if you want a bath together with me. I will welcome that," he said with a naughty grin making her turn red.

"Shut up! I didn't mean that" she said as she angrily walked to the bed and lay down.

"They say women don't mean the things they say but quite the opposite," Maximus said as he walked towards the bed.

Lifting the blanket he slid under it.

"Those women are different and this woman is different," she said with a pout turning towards him.

Maximus's smiled at her actions.

"I know. My wife is special," he said pinching her nose lightly.

Lenora smiled haughtily.

"So… how was your night?" he asked looking at her with an expectant gaze for her answer.

"It was hectic but yet satisfying in the end," she said with a smile.

"I am glad to hear that," he said.

"But…"
