Completely broken

She needs to know what happened between them. Maybe knowing this thing would help her more. Adira needs every card that was available. If not, she would have to suffer for longer. She wasn't willing to suffer more.

Zaros was literally a monster that she wants to stay away from. When he was sweet, she felt like she was the best and luckiest woman in the world. But now… she couldn't feel that anyway. Adira felt she was the biggest idiot in the world.

As she immersed herself in her thoughts the door for her brother's study was opened with a bang revealing Lenora. She was panting hard as if she ran a marathon. She was unkempt, her eyes were red like she cried unlike a normal look of hers. Her clothes weren't neat. It's as if she was devastated about something.

And Lenora didn't even care about etiquette. If Eudora was here, she would have dragged Lenora by holding her by her ear to the etiquette classes again. The horror of learning etiquette would have to be experienced all over again. Which was sheer torture to her. And for a fact, she knew that her sister-in-law hated the etiquette classes even more than she.

She heard Lenora was made to go to the etiquette classes more than twenty times after turning into a vampire. Because she was the most bratty kid among their siblings. Whenever Adira did something wrong in the etiquette classes, Eudora would repeat Lenora's story all over again just so that she could get it right.

Adira wondered how could even Lenora be so patient to learn all the stuff more than twenty times.

"Angel, Leave now. I will meet you later," Maximus said, bringing her back into her senses.

Adira nodded her head at her brother. Adira left the room closing the door for them.

From the way her sister-in-law looked now, she was so in love with her brother. She wished she has the same love as theirs. But it was being broken because of her. Adira needs to think fast and find a solution to her problem. She can't keep on enduring everything like this.

And she can't make people suffer just because she was suffering.

Meanwhile…

Lenora watched Adira with jealousy in her eyes. Adira got her husband's attention while she was getting ignored.

How was this any fair?

And thinking about it… even she was getting Zaros's attention which she was ignoring. Which was one of the reasons for Adira's hurt and current condition. She felt guilty and hurt seeing Adira.

Lowering her head, she watched Adira as she left the room before closing the door. Lenora just dashed into Maximus's embrace the moment the door was closed. Like a greedy cat, she started sniffing his scent which made her feel at ease and relaxed.

"I missed you. You didn't come to greet me," Lenora said in her child-like voice.

----------

Adira didn't leave the study. She stood out to listen to what they were talking about. When she heard the desperation in her voice. When she heard Lenora's moan, she almost walked away thinking that she might be intruding on their space. But when she was about to turn the corridor she saw her sister-in-law running away in tears.

Her heart pained to see her like that. She didn't deserve this kind of treatment from her brother. Adira needs to talk with her brother. She needs to think of a way to get out of the misery that her husband put in. Before that she could do nothing.

Turning her heels around she was shocked to see the person behind her. She almost staggered as she tried to take a step back. She ran back without looking at that person no stopping.

She has to say she was scared of that person. She didn't look at anybody who was watching her. Adira could care less about his reputation after what happened today.

Zaros was taking a leisure stroll in the hallways when he saw his sister walking toward Maximus' study feeling lost. He was devastated to see his sister like this. He felt a pang in his chest when he saw her in that state. Just then he saw his wife coming out of the study. He wanted to go near them and listen to what they were going to speak but he stopped himself when he saw his wife standing there.

He waited in the corridor as he watched her. He wanted to know whether she was enjoying his misery or not. Zaros watched her feeling sad and guiltier as time passed. Was she guilty?

This question or doubt bothered him further. He cannot accept this. How could she be guilty of whatever was happening inside the room?

She shall be happy, right?

He was surprised and shocked at her actions. Was she not as bad as he thought?

Even though he knew she wasn't a bad woman. He doesn't want to accept it. That way he could be less guilty.

Suddenly her face flushed, making him wonder what she heard. Sharpening his ears he concentrated keenly to listen what was happening. As a Vampire, he has more heightening senses than a Werewolf. That's when he heard his sister's moan.

He was surprised again.

Was Maximus giving him an empty threat?

That shall be the case. If not why would he make out with his sister?

Were these lowly Werewolves playing with him wantedly?

That shall be the case. Fuck! He cursed in his mind as he looked ahead. These werewolves need to be taught a lesson. His eyes dangerously mellowed at Adira who was standing there. When he saw she was walking after hearing their moan and is walking in the same direction he was in.

He hid in the furniture well without getting noticed by her. The advantage with her was she was young and doesn't do many things and wasn't as smart as the women he was with. She was easy to trick or fool.
