Keiko exits the police station just after Al and Clyde. The men briefly discuss their game plan, while Keiko waits quietly to the side. Not much of their conversation makes sense to her, but she can tell they’re seriously working hard to find the best way to save Nadia efficiently and soon.
“Alright Clyde, I’ll be counting on you. We’ll be in touch soon. Thank you.” Al bids Clyde farewell and finally turns to face Keiko with a weak smile. “Hey…how are you doing, Kei?”
“Um…I don’t really know to be honest. I’m feeling a lot of mixed emotions right now. I’m worried for Nadia. I’m scared she’ll get punished for a crime she didn’t do. I’m angry because I know who did it but can’t say, and I’m frustrated because I know I have to be patient, but I don’t want to be. I want to go find those responsible and force them to come clean, for Nadia’s sake.”
“Were you there, Kei? Did you witness everything that happened from start to finish?” He asks.
