Day 1
The dagger pierced through Maria's heart and she fell down dead
"mama" Mia called out she looked up at the man who just stabbed her mother dead, he looked evil, scary, ruthless, tyrannical for killing an innocent woman like that
"Mia" someone called she jumped up in fright sweating as If she was just soaked in water
"another nightmare" her best friend lia asked patting her, she was heavily breathing as if breathing was going to be made illegal any moment
"I'm fine" she said sighing before jumping off her bed... Mia was now staying with her aunt, that heartless man really left a 5year old who was unconscious in the forest all alone when she regained consciousness she started crying and walking around the forest until she found her self out of it, she saw a bunch of kids and she just went and stood among them, there was where she meet lia and the two stuck like glue they took them to a shelter, some woman who looked to beautiful to be human approached them, they were so beautiful and kind and constantly had smiles on that they looked save and trustworthy they bathed them, gave them food, played with them and put to bed, the 6th day after everyone who had a missing relative came into the shelter, lia's father died before even she was born, her mom was taken away by some rouges but she still had her mom's best friend she had no children, she came to look for her elder sister and her best friend and her daughter lia, they lost their path in the chaos and everyone just started running so they lost each other when she realised her best friend and sister were gone she lost hope she just came to the children's section because she just wanted to. She didn't expect lia to survive so she took her in as Mia watched them hug and cry she missed her own mom she didn't know any of her relatives, they probably didn't know her to she was done for, she didn't have anybody just then she heard her name and someone sprinted towards her and scooped her up, she looked strangely at the woman
"Mia it's me, aunt, auntie, aunty rosey" she said as he began crying again the name was clicking but their was no clear image of her, she went home with her aunt and lia went home with her new mom(betti) they were sad that they were going to separate but it turned out they were new neighbours the vampire king gave everyone a new home the ones that had theirs completely destroyed and the ones that were still repairable were rebuilt, life became easier but their was nothing for free...... After taking a shower she went to the kitchen lia was already there happily chatting and laughing with rosey, she treated her and lia like her children and betti did thesame they felt sorry for the poor kids who had to see thier parents die or get tortured in front of them so they tried giving them all the love that they can
"good morning auntie" Mia said cheerfully as she hugged her aunt from behind
"good morning sweetheart, come eat your food before it gets cold" she replied smiling sweetly
"you mean before lia finishes it" she said joking glaring at lia, three of them burst into laughter after eating lia and Mia headed out
"girl I've got the latest" lia said excitedly jumping around.
"the competition is cancelled" Mia said with hopeful eyes
"no of course not,... Mia ur really unbelievable"
"then keep ur latest to yourself" she said rolling her eyes
"I'm telling you anyways" Mia sighed saying
"then do I have to listen?"
"yes"
"even if I don't want to"

"another alpha found her mate and its a human" lia said excitedly
"really" Mia asked there have only been one alpha, whose mate is a human and that was bout 12years ago
"yes and the pack she is in it, is quite powerful"

"she's so lucky" mia said, lia nodded agreeing
"she's lucky that she not going to attend that horrible competition" Mia said, she didn't like the wolves but didn't hate them as much as before after one saved her a year ago when she was injured and alone in the woods but she didn't fully like them either, she thinks they are at least better than the vampire royal family especially with that heartless guy as the next king in line they were doomed
"they saved us, the vampires are actually nice if you get to know them and that king is sooooooooooo handsome" lia said, if she was a cartoon her eyes will turn into love shines right now, mia can't help feel disgusted, he's handsome so what she didn't think he was dreamy worthy but he was indeed a little too handsome for her liking
"ew, lia" she said walking forward
"we're 21 finally, so now what will you do avoid the unavoidable horrible competition" lia said scastically
"I will" Mia said determined.
"and how will you" lia asked getting curious about her plans
"I will run away" she said with a smile and nod as if her plan was the perfect plan that didn't need a plan B, lia looked at her and shook her head then burst into laughter
"you know anywhere you go, you'll be brought back, everyone is royal to his highnesses, even the grass, the tress, the birds everything" lia said bursting into laughter again, mia's one confident face fell, she didn't consider that part
"then I'll say am 19 or 20" she said her confident returning
"Mia seriously, they have everyone's record"
"I will try not to get picked then"
"good luck then sister " lia said patting her back, trying to hold her laughter
"why did you even bring me out" Mia asked
"seriously Mia, it's training time"
"I told you am not participating in that stupid competition " Mia said as she planned to turn around and leave
"they take attendance, you'll get in trouble the King himself will check the list before sensing it to the emperor, (the emperor was the vampire King, the king was their ruler)" lia said half lying so that Mia could agree to attend
"really" Mia asked she didn't know they taked things this seriously, she never looked into it anyways, lia didn't tell her they were going to the trainings because she knew she will rufuse and that will land her into big trouble
"yes they do, even if you don't care think about your aunt, not only you will get into trouble" lia said trying to change her mind, she sighed it looked like she had no choice, she would just perform badly and loose, simple she thought
"so we train how to fight, dance, sing, show a talent, preparing to be a proper lady, know how to swim, and be a perfect chef just to get our blood drained, ah" Mia said shaking her head helplessly
"they saved our lives, they're not that bad, you won't get drained" lia said trying to convince Mia
"they saved you, not me they took away the only think I called family" Mia said as she tried to control her tears
"I couldn't even have a moment with my mom, I still remember how the dagger pierced right through her heart it was an instant death, and when my dad's body was found their were only a pair of bite markes on his neck a vampire royal family's bite mark differ from a normal vampire he was the only one in that area, does it click anything" she turned her head around to wipe her tears
"am sorry Mia, if you want let's back down, me and you.. We always create trouble together anyways the worst that could happen is us working in the place forever with strict rules" lia said smiling
"and" she added smiling wider she held her face in her hands "we'll get to see Lucian forever" she said as she squealed, Mia looked at her unbelievably weren't they just having a moment about him being evil and vampires being bad how did they switch to him being handsome, Mia waved her hand dismissing the idea of them quitting, she was touched that she was going to do that for her, she was ready for them to get into trouble together but now seeing her bestie like this she knew she was playing with her tongue and didn't process what she said.
"forget it let's go".... After they reached. The place was swimming with people they looked around some were walking around, eating and talking some already were at the side practing
"wait am not 21 yet" Mia said
"you'll be 21 tomorrow, come on let's forget about how to escape for now" lia said as she pulled her in, Mia pouted her brain was still thinking how to get away from it.
