"What are both of you doing here so late?" The man asked in an interrogation tone.

"We are here to help the passerby repair their gadge.." Before Mikel could finished Luke cut off,

"Electronics, Sir. We are here to help the passerby repair their electronics to gain some experiences since we really want to continue our study or even work in this field" Luke hurriedly made some stories up.

The man paused and looked at the sign on the ground that say 'Repair all Gadget with price as low as 20 cu'

After seeing the reaction of the man, their eyes followed to the ground and their faces paled.

"But it said 'Gadget' here. Do you or Do you not illegally modified the national's device with unauthorized security clearance?" The man asked, his face cold.

Hearing that, Mikel face turned even paler.

"Mostly normal electronics, Sir. But sometimes, someone also commissioned us with the gadget. We thought it was a challenge, so we accept it." Luke answered nervously.

The man didn't seem to listen and took out his own gadget with his non-gloved hand.

The moment it was out of the man's pocket, Luke's and Mikel's eyes lit up.

'So cool', they thought.

Usually the civilian gadget was a rectangle-shaped with the size that ranged from 15cmX10cm to a suitcase size according to the individual's or their business needs which could be requested and changed by the local authority.

However, the man in front of them took out the beetle-sized gadget that attached to the left lapel of the man's blazer.

The information would then persistently projected toward his palm in a series of light beam.

This was the most advanced technology that both of them had ever seen in their lives.

It's like telling them that there was a wizard in this world and then conjured the fireball revealing that the speaker was the real wizard.

Luke had not even blinked once since the man took it out and stared at the gadget intently trying to see through them.

"Condensed light beam with sensors module. Is it interactive or just a display? The real challenge is the size of that thing. How did they compressed it like that? What about the computational unit?" Luke mumbled to himself, deep in thought.

The man's eyes flashed with surprised and continue to look at his palm while Mikel just stood there nervously listening to Luke's mumbling.

'Stop it, can you? The man can hear it, damn it. I don't want to be charged for a more serious crime like threatening the national security' Mikel thought while looking at Luke trying to give some signal with his eyes but Luke's didn't seem to notice.

After seeing that Luke had paid him no attention, Mikel sighed and think about his life ahead where he would possibly be thrown somewhere in the middle of the radioactive fallout while scourging with those bloodthirsty comrades. His future seem bleak in an instant and he deflated like a balloon.

"Luke Dirace and Mikel Moore, Junior students at Area-29's Capital High School." The man paused and continued to read.

After a while, he took off his gadget from the blazer and kept it in his pocket.

"Thanks your lucky stars that both of you are still below 18 and it's require a special authority to press charges, otherwise the place where you are returning tonight is not going to be your home but beside some scums while preparing yourselves to wake up for the next day scourging" The man looked at Luke and Mikel coldly.

"Now, move!" The man said with a slightly higher voice.

Both of them hurriedly shoved all of the things they could see into their backs and half walk, half run to the train station.

Seeing both of them gone, the man in black suit looked into the distant.

"If they know who you are, they would be scared sh*tless" The voice suddenly sounded jokingly.

"Why did you let them go?" The voice asked, curious.

The man stood there silently for a while before he replied, "He looks like someone I knew"

"Oooh, connections. This is getting more interesting. Pica, Grey said he met someone he knew. Can you believe that? That social-withdrawn guy actually has a friend" The voice sounded lively in the background while Grey's face darkened.

"Tell me, tell me, who is it? Who is worthy to be friend with the best of the best?"

"He is already dead" Grey answered and cut the signal.

..

"Aww, come on. Let me in on a little secret, will you?" a man whose the voice belonged to complained unhappily.

"Be careful in your sleep, Loyd. You know Grey" The woman sitting across Loyd said, grinning.

"He knows that I'm only joking right?" Loyd said while trying to connect to Grey.

Loyd looked at the woman and she shrugged, his face turned pale.

"Alright, stop playing. The order is here." Another woman walked in.

"Loyd, you are responsible for the northern region. Pica, you go east."

"Boss, Can I go with Pica since there are only 5 regions with us 7" Loyd looked at the woman pleadingly.

"Don't think that I don't know you are trying to slack off again, Loyd.

Blair and Adam are not available, so I need all of you to work alone this time."

Loyd pouted but didn't say anything more.

"Since Grey is already in the far west already, I will go the Central Capital. Martha will go south, I'll contact her later. This time use the primary clearance channel"

Loyd and Pica turned their head abruptly when they heard the name of the communicating channel.

"Is it that serious? Who are we dealing with this time?" Loyd asked, baffled.

"One of the ruling entity, The Union"
