Prologue: Introduction To The Novel

Hello and welcome to my new novel. This novel is intended for older audiences and so a warning beforehand, if you can't handle things like descriptive scenes of blood/gore and violence, dark themes like abuse and slavery that will be a part of the world the MC reincarnates into, and other things etc. I suggest you stop reading now. However if you decide that you are okay with a darker story, then you (the reader) will enjoy a story far better than most. Without further ado, I shall somewhat describe the world and its characters.

Zachariah Cane:

Zachariah Cane was born in a world that closely resembled earth with a few differences.

He never knew who his parents were and honestly didn't care much at all, and that was because he could see things that others could not. His eyes allowed him to see the secret inhabitants of the world, such as spirits and daemons.

One day he was caught talking to one of his friends who was a daemon named lilith. Lilith had told him she was the mother of all daemons and that she would always look out for Zachariah and help him in his times of need.

Zachariah had no idea who he was actually talking to at that point because he was only 5 years old when he even learned what his friends were called. The person who caught him was the director of the orphanage named Bill Sloads. Bill asked Zachariah who he was talking to and Zachariah answered, "I'm talking to my friend Lilith". Upon hearing those words Bill had a big smile on his face and asked Zachariah, "I see, can you tell me a little about Lillith"?

Zachariah nodded and replied, "Lilith said she is the mother of all daemons and that she would always help me out in my times of need". Upon hearing this bill had the biggest grin in the world. He had finally found the Daemons chosen one that would bring the world into a new era. An era where people wouldn't have to fear the tyranny of the holy empire. He knew Zachariah had immense potential in the dark arts and so Bill decided to train Zachariah about the truth of the world. He took the 5 year old boy to meetings of the daemonic church of true arcana where he spent the next 13 years studying the dark arts, learning rituals and spells, and climbing the ranks until he became the youngest church leader to ever live. But things don't Always turn out the way we want, as the holy empire had sent a spy into their ranks who told the leaders of the holy church of what he had seen. The holy church then sent their most powerful warriors, paladins from the order of purity to kill the everyone in the daemonic church of true arcana. Zachariah cast spell after spell even though he knew it wouldn't be effective against them, so before he died he said something that sent shivers down the spines of every self righteous paladin there. "I sacrifice my power to the Daemon prince's of old so that I might live again In order to get my revenge"!

"Daemonium Reincarnation Sacrificium"!

After those words were uttered the room started to drop in temperature, and then his body disappeared without a trace. Only the Daemon prince's of old knew what his fate would be.

Bill Sloads:

Was the closest thing Zachariah had to a father figure in his life.

He taught Zachariah everything he knew and treated him like his own son.

He died from the assault by the paladins from the holy church.

The Holy Empire:

The tyrannical rulers of the country where Zachariah lived.

The holy Empire was created by the holy church to instill a type of government where their words were law. They execute anyone that speaks against them, and especially hate dark magic wielders due to the power they wield.

The daemonic church of true arcana: A church for those who worship the daemons and wield dark magic. It is the complete opposite of the holy church. They try to help those in need with their power and resist the holy church at every chance.
