#Chapter22
Our eyes are on you
Scott's POV
I took a sip from my smoothie. Glancing around, I took time to observe the park. A brown path ran past us and sloped at the end of the road. Tall umbrella trees lined the path, shading everyone under them. A student walked past us. His eyes were fixed on the paper in his hand. Hannah and Tristan sat next to me on a brown bench. Evening encroached, hues of purple and orange painting the sky.
/"That girl was rude,/" Tristan said, a frown forming on his face.
/"I didn't even like her./" Hannah sipped her smoothie.
When I was done drinking mine, I threw it on the grass. /"How long are we going to wait?/"
/"Till she gets here,/" Hannah answered.
/"How are we sure that guy spoke the truth?/" I asked.
