Chapter 65 -No Chance-

CHAPTER 65 -NO CHANCE-

The Queen's eyes stared at the sword with a hint of worry. "You have the SoulBlade. Are you going to capture my soul?" A wry smile formed on her before she raised her aura once more.

Though I can use or understand the way Divine mana works, I could still feel it. The holy sensation of being able to sense Divine mana was different.

Divine mana answered her call, and placed itself on her body and core. So even Gods can do this? I thought seeing as she didn't back down even when I had the advantage in her life.

Gods are Gods, in the end they are just beings who bleed for greed and power, their desires of being more powerful than anything in the universe cruising through their veins.

Much more of a reason to kill them all, starting with her here and now.

"So, will you respond to the question I asked earlier? What was the young child's name!" I finally snapped at the brown haired Queen who had regained her confidence just by having Divine mana aid her.

"That is something that I don't know about, those secrets are a thing that was not mentioned. The reason being that I was caught before they could even process the information they talked about."

Time. I needed time to digest this information that wasn't enough for my mind, something that will take a couple of days or even weeks so that I can think clearly. My thoughts were waging war against each other over what beliefs were right and wrong, but I had taken no side to at least ease my own selfishness.

With all the mana that had been released from my mana ring, I called back for it and stored it for later. My connection with my phase dissipated into nothingness, and my appearance changed to what it was before when the attack in Ifesia academy happened.

My long black curly hair returned in place of the white long hair, I could feel the warm sensation going through my eyes–probably changing back to the color black.

I eyed my ring, searching for any more large cracks that could affect my future plans that have been gearing now. Yet, it felt like it had a couple more than four more chances before it could potentially blow up on my finger.

My chances of getting closer to their revival is slim, I needed to get my meeting with CinderHell out of the way before I head to Afreon.

Layla should be able to help me with my ring, even fix it if possible.

"You're an Ancient Walker…"

The sudden voice brought me back to the moment. Queen Betty's facial expression was of surprise, confusion and disappointment. "I don't understand, you are an Ancient Walker but you have Royal Angel blood."

Royal Angel blood? She checked for my blood cells…

I frowned at her actions that should've been consulted with me and not against my back, but she had every right to do so. A random Angel showed up claiming to be a titleholder–who was able to go toe-to-toe with the powerful Star Michael–without anyone knowing or making a debut about it. Keeping his identity as an Angel or a 'Royal Angel' as Queen Betty had said.

I would've done it before as well, if it were me.

"How are you an Ancient Walker, they should all be extinct from the battle against the eleven races." Her confused voice turned into anger and rage.

Glaring at me like I was the killer of her mother, she began to walk towards me. Each step that landed on the ground, a strong aura of treason reflected.

"If you plan to fight, I must tell you something even you won't believe until you've experienced it." This time–without any mana or usage of my ring phases–I unleashed my own bloodlust, one that even made the BloodSoldiers tremble upon sensing a small portion of it. I felt the handle of SoulBlade, which then I stuck into the floor next to me. "Even if you have the rank of a God. Even if you are the titleholder of a God. Even if you bring your Stars," in that moment, before I let out the last words of warning towards the Queen of Angels. A strong and old feeling came back to me, one that I haven't felt in so long, not since I'd fought the demon Marshals.

"...you don't stand a chance against me."

A long moment of silence went forward, Betty's face betrayed her emotional state before responding to me one and only warning. She hesitated but still was in disagreement with my words, "Y-You think you can fight me, a God–"

I used Abeyance without a second thought. I followed my feet to be in front of the God Monarch, and then I released my spell. Looking dead in her golden eyes, and in the midst of her words I cut her off. "Yes. Yes I can."

I could see the words of 'how did you do that?' written all over her face as she registered my sudden appearance just a few inches away from her. Then I disengaged my bloodlust and all the build up that was directed to her and walked backwards.

"With that in mind," I briefly said, turning back to her in a different manner. "I need a host, a body that could withstand a powerful soul."

Changing the topic and showing her the dominance there was between us was probably not the best choice but there was no other option, or was there? No. I could no longer concern myself with the past of things I can no longer regret.

Moving forward was my best option, and looking back was not.

I waited for my words to sink in her mind, but the thought of me being non-afraid of her or her troops would still linger there, if she dared to push it to the back of her mind, the result would be the same.

Feeling her golden eyes staring at me for the duration of seconds just to let–whatever happened just a couple of minutes ago–to the back of her mind without much second thoughts. "Why me?"

Her voice was the same as it was before.

Yes, I expected that question from the earlier days, when I had in plan to still revive them all. Why that person? Why her? Though it may seem simple to other people's eyes, it is not because they have the authority of Monarchs or Gods. It is because she can use what I can't…

"Divine mana. That is the reason why it has to be you, only you can use Divine mana to whatever extent you want to use it. Being a deity of Angels as well as the manipulator of Divine mana, it is only why I can ask for your help."

She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "That's it?! Just because of my usefulness for Divine mana? You people don't change, whether it be Angels, Humans, Giants and even the Ancient Walkers. You are all the same."

For all that, I didn't have my Ancient Walker phase activated, yet her emotions still flowed into me feeling what she was feeling. Irritated, anger, sadness, ect. Many emotions flooded me that it was difficult to keep up with them, it was the very first time I had this much of someone else's emotions rioting up on me like that.

However, I understood her feelings as well. Back in my old world–where I had become the world's greatest soldier and general–all they seeked from me was to kill and lead those who were ready to lay down their lives for their country into the bottomless hell that was in front of us.

Many soldiers lost their lives to the higher-ups' bullshit decision of fighting the Blood Soldiers without any other means but to use nukes and missiles. The futile tries brought the world into flames, ones that I had to put out just by simply killing those Blood Soldiers.

I looked at Betty for a moment, building up the sentences I would say to convince her to help me. "Betty, if you help me with this. I promise to do the same to you, double if you want but I need your help for this. There is only one person who can match my power and that person is now on the thread between saving him or leaving him to rot in that oblivious realm."

Then, at that moment, a single idea–that could be called a misfortune–crossed my mind. I began to recite a spell, one of the oldest spells in this world as well as my old one. Calling for the mana and elemental, fire, water, wind, and earth. This place was filled with it, the flying temple was one that attracted the elemental mana in the first place. I was grateful for that, since now I can use this once again.

Transforming and shaping the mana into forms of clocks, a golden one and a white one. Both clocks symbolize the meaning of time and desire, working well for those who tied down their own subordinates back on Earth. However there was something that only I knew about this spell, out of the countless people who learn who mana or the energy source worked only I was able to find this out.

Combining the two clocks into one, allowing the user of the spell to use it as a contract, a binding vow between two parties and their own rules. I could've made a slave out of many people who were my enemy, in time I did but only to a few.

Three months before my death, I made sure this spell was gone for good. Using it after the battle against the Blood Soldiers wouldn't be ideal when all I wanted to do after was to live a peaceful life. In the countryside if possible, learning how to hunt and survive in the mountains. Perhaps a cabin in the middle of the woods, where I could have livestocks, horses, my own…

Before I knew it, the spell was ready. After ignoring the Queen for some time that I wasn't aware of, glancing between her and the spell–not wanting it to lose control for exceeding mana–I was able to notice her expression.

"Lost for words, Angel God?" I teased her watching how her opened mouth rapidly closed in embarrassment.

"Hmph, I will have you know that as the God of Angels, this is nothing." She reluctantly responded, still witnessing the magical spell like a piece of candy she had never had. I'm glad, after trying to kill each other just a couple of minutes ago, she could still laugh and act like a tsundere. Though, it's my first time seeing a girl act like this.

Back when I used to go to the Proper Legacy Academy back on Earth, girls would tend to go for the boys with wealthy parents, or sometimes they would go for those without a future. Truly terrifying creatures that I never dare to understand, more like I couldn't.

A tingly sensation occurred on the tips of my fingers, this was telling me that everything was going to plan. That the spell was almost finished, and all I had to do was set it up for the right rules.
