Little Breakthroughs

David listened but after a bit said "Tony I want you to be careful over there... They seem to be preparing for something"

But Tony didn't really take David's words seriously, as he had already stepped into his private jet.

"Don't be like that old man... Nothing is going to happen and besides when I get back and I'll finish off my project, so you won't be all alone as you fly above all of us" Tony said this with much anticipation but he nevertheless finally set off.

David ignored Tony's childish behavior, at least he tried to warn Tony even if it was half hearted but now that he left David had no intention of stoping the disaster Tony was about to face.

Putting it bluntly, he wanted Tony to change and usher in his new ways because of the tragedy he'll witness...

Weapons he designed used to oppress and enslave villages as well as the same weapons being used to slaughter those who rebelled.

Hopefully just like in the film Tony will understand what to do... And change for the better.

....A couple days go by....

When the news of Tony's attack and subsequent disappearance, it quickly left the worlds media in an uproar.

The, Tony Stark! The C.E.O of a multi-Billion dollar military giant, the super genius!

Unfortunately under Tony's disappearance his company was only left on the edge because nobody knew what the company would be like without him.

~Sir, Nick Fury would like to talk to you~ Brainstorm said.

As soon as the connection was established "David, we can't lose Tony!" Fury said right away.

"Oh no, Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D without their high tech weapons what ever shall you do... I know without him, S.H.I.E.L.D would be in quite the bit of trouble if they had no supply"

David lit a cigar unhurriedly, whilst he pocked at Fury's fake words of sincerity and puffed.

Fury said solemnly: "David... With your speed, you can fly to the Middle East in a few hours at least, and find Tony whilst the intelligence department assists you"

This time, David didn't speak, but stared at Fury's image silently, before nodding: "Is this my first assignment, Director Nick Fury?"

"Yes"

"Fine, but, if I think about it don't, the Avengers only exist on paper as of right now, if you can't tell I'm just a leader without a team... you know, it's too thin..." David slowed down.

Veins showed on Fury's face, whilst he said, "Very well I'll let you recruit... one member"

"I want to be able to recruit three" David said kissing his cigar.

"Two! The Avengers are a global team and not your personal team"

"You have yourself a deal, I'll head off to get Tony right away..." He said as a smile appeared on his face.

Private team? Who knows, but one thing was for sure... The Avengers where not going to be dominated by S.H.I.E.L.D. David, knew all to well what the future held if that continued to play out.

David watched as Fury hung up the phone and shook his head: "Although I promoted the establishment of S.H.I.E.L.D and am regarded as one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D, there is no doubt that The Avengers hold far greater value... Fury , I will pull Avengers over to my side and if needed I'll do it alone, as all your efforts just serve me"

After finishing his monologue, David walked up to the window, smashing it as he flew into the sky traveling at a speed far greater than mach 12.

Seeing that David took action, Fury felt relieved.

But he soon questioned "Why dose it always feels like I'm overlooking something..." Fury said out loud.

"It's your imagination, sir," said Coulson faithfully.

"Is there progress over in the North Pole?" Fury said looking at Coulson.

"Not as of late, digging through the ice is a very complicated job, and it seems we still have to take our time" Coulson said, with his eyes fixed on the screen.

And on the screen, was David's figure shooting through the sky, as he parted the clouds showing of the beauty of the open sky.

Fury glanced at Coulson, and for some reason, suddenly felt his confusion deepen.

After his short flight, David had entered the Middle East. Wearing his infinity armor with it's golden glow flickering constantly, whilst the large cloak rustled in the dry wind.

Having downloaded the information from S.H.I.E.L.D David squinted as he said "It's probably around here..."

And soon after he scanned the landscape using X-ray Vision, finding what he was looking for and nodded no longer moveing.

Taking a little breather David thought about his recent achievements, because after several days of consent practice, his was finally able to peak into the microscopic world.

And on the other hand his hearing took another interesting breakthrough as he was able to achieve something similar to echo location at the help of his enhanced brain power.

David could only think about what the future held if he got even stronger then he was now.

"After just a few weeks in the Earth's sun, I can see zoom in to see the DNA of any cell I chose just with my eyes, and can also hear the wriggling sound of a cell bouncing around and hitting into one another with my ears alone..."

With these surreal experiences stacking on top one after the other David felt a great sense of pride and accomplishment leaving him feeling extremely confident with whatever battle he would face I. the future.

Stepping onto the desert floor, whilst the sun scorched his body made him feel somewhat comfortable.

David, being what he was had no gripe with his this predicament.

"Maybe in the future, I should do what the Golden Superman did, and enter the sun to have a feel for just sleeping in it for a while"

David thought it over but regrettably pushed that thought to the side as he needed to watch over Tony for a while, so he sat there quietly enjoying this new "sunbathing" as he wasn't in any hurry like normal people would have been to save Tony but instead he was just going to look after him.
