Chapter 68 Leon is Dormammu?

Chapter 68 Leon is Dormammu?

Leon wasn't lying; he indeed separated a portion of the dark dimension's power for the Ancient One. The total amount could be compared to one in a billion, or perhaps even rarer. In essence, due to the original equivalence of the Dark Dimension to the weight of an entire universe, even one in a trillion would be unimaginable—a quantity sufficient to grant the Ancient One eternal life.

Leon was concerned that if he confronted Ancient One with this knowledge, she might not be able to handle it. Her spirit could be tainted by the extensive infiltration of dark forces. If the Ancient One were to turn to the dark side because of this, it would be a case of good intentions leading to unintended consequences.

The influx of immense power was felt by the Ancient One. She raised her hand and pressed it to her heart, experiencing a surge of vitality coursing through her body. She even felt a rejuvenation of youthfulness. Her heartbeat resonated with the strength and vigor of youth, while her body seemed to be brimming with boundless energy.

Though she had been feeling somewhat frail lately, her vitality had now been restored. However, when she looked up at Leon and noticed his gaze, she instructed him, "You didn't needed to touch my face."

Leon responded with a hint of sarcasm, rolling his eyes. "What? Am I suppose to grab your smooth bald head?"

Indeed, the Ancient One had a hairless head...

Leon's instruction in the power of the dark dimension was also an introduction to the power of the astral or soul realm. This energy had to be integrated into the Ancient One's mind and soul. A portion would disperse throughout her body, while the majority would immerse itself within her mind.

However, one couldn't simply hold onto the Ancient One's perfectly smooth bald head. An outsider might mistakenly assume that he was doing some kinda 😈 act.

Despite her discomfort, the Ancient One managed to glare at Leon before reaching out to pat his hand. She then turned and left without uttering a word of gratitude.

Unfazed by her lack of thanks, Leon asked, "I've gone through all these books. Which ones should I read tomorrow?"

The Ancient One paused, her gaze still averted. "You will not be reading tomorrow, I'll be teach you directly."

At last, the Ancient One had assumed the role of a teacher herself. Leon gave an indifferent shrug, finding this to be a positive development.

Soon, Leon observed yet another astonishing occurrence: the portion of the dark dimension's power he had separated for the Ancient One was swiftly replenished.

"It appears I could have given more," Leon mused with hindsight, surprised by the rapid rate of its restoration.

Subsequently, Leon reclined once more, intending to rest. He anticipated another night of silence, planning to sleep through until dawn.

However, an unexpected guest disrupted his expectations in the middle of the night.

The intruder was Kaecilius, the individual who had previously questioned the Ancient One alongside Mordo. He was also a disciple of the Ancient One, sharing the same status as Mordo.

Leon lay there, rousing from his slumber as Kaecilius entered. The two exchanged glances, with Kaecilius noting Leon's alertness.

Despite Kaecilius's presence, Leon refrained from speaking, merely regarding him in silence.

Kaecilius stared at Leon in silence, his gaze filled with anticipation. Suddenly, he kicked at the special robe of Kamar-Taj, causing it to fall to the ground. He then dropped to his knees.

Observing Kaecilius's actions, Leon raised an eyebrow and offered a half-smile.

Kaecilius bowed his head and spoke in a deep voice, "Welcome the dark monarch to the earthly realm."

Leon's smile widened as he discreetly retrieved his phone. This phone had previously been demonstrated to Tony as a representative of modern technology from the new era. It had been left with Tony as a reference for developing a new department within Stark Group.

In a swift motion, Leon swapped out his phone, silently activated the camera, pointed it in Kaecilius's direction, and then sat up, leaning against the head of the bed. He prevented Kaecilius from rising and questioned, "What brings you here?"

At that moment, Kaecilius raised his head. Oblivious to Leon's subtle actions earlier, his eyes gleamed with fanaticism and madness. He declared, "I am your follower, Lord Dormammu, Destroyer of Worlds. I can aid you in obliterating the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Three Great Places. I can assist in bringing you to the earthly plane and consuming the entire world."

"And then?" Leon inquired, folding his arms as he regarded Kaecilius.

Kaecilius's demeanor shifted to one of flattery, and he smiled ingratiatingly. "Indeed, as your devoted disciple, I seek your blessings. Grant me your strength, so that I may serve you more completely."

Leon responded with a smile. "Very well."

With those words, he raised his hand and summoned the power of the dark dimension, suffusing the room with a chilling aura. Kaecilius trembled, fully convinced that the figure before him was indeed Dormammu, the dark monarch of the dark dimension.

In Kaecilius's perception, how could a mere apprentice of magic contend with Dormammu? He had previously dismissed the Ancient One's claims and failed to comprehend the true extent of Leon's formidable abilities. Although Leon might still be a junior apprentice, his power was unquestionably mighty.

It had been mentioned earlier that Leon would have struggled against Dormammu in the astral realm. This was primarily due to his inexperience with astral combat, resulting in some difficulty.

But Leon remained silent, allowing Kaecilius's assumptions to take root, and he assumed a role akin to a manipulative puppeteer.

This scenario was all too familiar to Leon. Back on Krypton, he had been one of the highest-ranking individuals, leading campaigns and nearly extinguishing neighboring civilizations in the conquest of the universe. Therefore, playing this role came naturally to him.

Kaecilius harbored no doubt whatsoever. He experienced an indescribable rush of power flowing into him, leaving him exhilarated.

"Ancient One, don't think I'm oblivious! You pledged yourself to Dormammu long ago, gaining immortality. Why should I not have the same opportunity? Why is eternal life reserved solely for you?" Kaecilius's voice roared with fervor, his words fueled by the invasive influence of the dark power on his mind. He perceived Leon as Dormammu himself.

Leon maintained his smile and posed a question, "What do you think? This power is rather impressive, isn't it?"

Kaecilius snapped out of his trance, quickly kneeling on the ground, and respectfully responded, "I am grateful for the power bestowed by my master."

In his mind, he was now unequivocally loyal to Dormammu. Little did he know that Dormammu had already lost his presence from the world.

Leon nodded approvingly, his smile still intact. He addressed Kaecilius, "You shall remain in this posture. Tomorrow, I will take care of you."

With those words, Leon turned his head and returned to his slumber.

Why did Leon grant Kaecilius power without taking direct action against him? The reason was that Leon intended to deal with him, but circumstances did not permit immediate intervention.

When the Ancient One awoke the following day, the situation would naturally be entrusted to her.
