"Ten minutes. Okay."
After ending the call, Ye Ranran apologized with giggle to the woman doctor, "I'm sorry, I somehow have to stay here for an extra ten minutes."
"If it's not for ten days or a half-month then it's fine."
Ye Ranran was tickled by the doctor's humor. She hadn't noticed earlier, but the woman was stunningly beautiful.
She had willow-leaf-shaped eyebrows, a melon-seed-shaped face, skin as delicate as jade, and bright, engaging eyes. Every frown or smile seemed to emit an ineffable charm.
"What, you think I'm beautiful?" Seeing Ye Ranran gazing at her intently, the woman doctor felt like teasing her a bit.
Ye Ranran quickly looked away, "I'm sorry, that was a bit rude."
"Oh, it's okay. I've seen a lot of that." The woman doctor didn't seem to mind.
"Now that you have some time, would you like me to check on the baby?" the woman doctor asked warmly.
The sudden warmth caught Ye Ranran off guard and made her defensive: "No need."
