Chapter 80: The Truth in The Shadows
Eleonore’s POV
“You took your time,” a voice called out to Bastian and me as we made our way through the empty parking lot and into the old abandoned mall that was located here.
Bastian had said he was meeting someone who could help us with trying to figure out exactly what was going on with not just me but the rest of the town as well. He had said his contact knew about the kidnappings more than anyone.
“Sorry, I just had to pick up a few things back at the house. Do you have everything ready?”
The man who Bastian had been talking to nodded his head, and I watched as Bastian followed him into the main area of the mall. I stopped for a second just in front of the lobby area and looked around me. The place was dark besides a few lamps that littered the area.
“Come on,” Bastian grabbed hold of my wrist and pulled me along with him, “we’re so close now.”
