Young tuner

The rain drizzled slightly and people began to move their things indoor, some part of the town was already empty and some parts were scanty while the other part was still very busy, some traders were just coming out to sell raincoats to people who who were still on the streets, the sky rumbled and people could already tell that an heavy rain was coming, up in the tower, a girl was sprawled on the dusty floor with her eyes staring at that tiny hole which water was dripping from, different thoughts swirled in her head, she wondered where the water passing through the hole was coming from , was it the princess or her mother or those things making strange noises that were making it happen, was it all of them or one of them, her little thoughts new no bounds and were always innocent, she had this funny imagination of the world as a dusty ground where only the princess, her mother and those things that made strange noises dominated, as a deserted ground with only where she lived as the best place there, as a barren land where everyone could only hope to eat what she was eating, she was so sure of her imaginations that she usually promised her self to bring enough weed and fruits for the people whenever she had the chance to come out, she was so sure of her imaginations that she always thought if she had a chance to open the door of where she lived she would share her place with the people, those imaginations always made her so sure that the people would be very happy when she did those things, she yawned and deeped her dusty hand into the puddle of water then scooped it with her cupped hand to drink, she hoped very soon she would be able to do all what she wished to do, such naive thinking, then she began one of her songs. She sang as she looked into the little hole on the door, it was dark outside,to her that was how the world was, no form of light to help the people, curiously she picked a twig from the floor and pushed it through the hole to see if she would poke anything but there was nothing she wondered where everyone was always going, with a disappointed frown she crawled back to where she had been lieing and began to sing again.

Down in the Kings palace, a brown haired girl sat in a dim lighted room sorting the flowers on the flower bed by the window, her mind wandered off to that clueless blonde haired girl in the tower, who knew nothing about the world, she cursed the town for being so foolish to lock up innocent souls for the crime thier ancestors committed, it was only painful that no one else thought the tradition it was foolish, "Turlip" she heard her mother's call and she turned to the middle aged woman behind her who was busy with her jewelries, she kept picking and dropping and still she didn't look satisfied, "Turlip I am attending my nephew's birthday this evening which jewelry do you think suits me" she asked as she pushed the jewelry box to the brown haired girl, "just put on something nice and simple, it's your nephew's birthday after all and you wouldn't want to dress more than the celebrant right?" Turlip muttered casually and her mother frowned in dissatisfaction, "why are you always like this?, so dull and less interesting, I really miss your sister, she would have helped me with all this before I even mention it" the woman said as she picked a diamond embedded gold jewelry, while Turlip turned away "you shouldn't have pushed her into marriage then or you could simply tell her to get a divorce so she could help you" Turlip muttered indifferently and the queen scoffed, "you are the first princess Turlip, you are twenty six years old this year and you don't even have a boyfriend not to talk of a fiancee, your twenty one years old sister got married before you and you aren't ashamed, shame on you Turlip, shame on you" the woman said with irritation and Turlip suddenly stopped what she was doing "you are such a good mother" she said sacastically "Ixora is supposed to be in school at that age but your greed led her into getting pregnant for a man old enough to birth her and still you married her to him in an extravagant way, only if she wasn't trying to be so fillali to you" Turlip said with visible anger in her grey eyes, "did you just say that to me" her mother screamed with wilder anger "yes queen Vivian, you destroyed your daughter's future because of your greed" Turlip said and stormed out of the room, the queen on the other hand clenched her hand into a fist, she looked at her red face through the mirror and gritted her teeth then she suddenly smashed the mirror into several bits "Turlip! I hate you, I hate you that I wish I could stab you to death, I hate you that I want to tear you apart, i hate you that i wish i never gave birth to you" she screamed and slumped on her sit, few minutes passed and she suddenly sat back up with a happy smile like what just happened was just a facade. Turlip strolled back to her room and looked in the direction of the tower through her window, she could imagine how her life would be if it was like that of the tuner, only if she was as naive as the tuner was, she wouldn't have had to worry about so many things, she wouldn't have had to think about her parents being so insensible, she took a long breath and picked the bottle of water on the table then strolled out, she decided to take a walk, her brain was thumping really hard and it was hurting her head, a walk in the rain was a good reliever.
