Town of Mett

A:N- THIS CHAPTER AND BEYOND WILL BE GETTING REWRITTEN BY ME. ONCE THE NEW CHAPTERS ARE WRITTEN, THESE OLD CHAPTER WILL BE GONE. DO NOT READ BEYOND THIS BECAUSE THE STORY WILL BE CHANGED.

We have been traveling for a week now. The five of us just needs to travel through one more town before we enter the borders belonging to the elves.

It was just past midnight when we finally reached the town. Princess Eva, Kat and Lucy were sleeping, Zen was sitting up front with me.

"Zen, you could sleep if you want. You've been staying up with me all night."

"It's no problem for Zen. Sir Atlas wouldn't be able to travel safely if Zen wasn't here."

"I guess you're right. Well we are here already so let's rest for the night."

We pull in through the gates after paying the toll fee. The town was called Mett.

The town had many products that were crafted by the elves. There was only a certain amount sold everyday though. This was a restriction given to the town by the elves when making the business deal.

"There aren't a lot of elves here. I was expecting more."

"Why's that? Zen sees exactly what Zen expected here. Elves hate humans Sir Atlas. Elves rather die than talk to a human."

"What about Ior then?"

"He's different. Zen has heard about your first meeting with him. He was rather polite to you correct?"

Ior was oddly polite to me. I'm sure it has something to do with Ceto.

"Hm. I guess you're right. You seem to know a bit about elves Zen. Could you tell me more?"

Contrary to what I was expecting, Zen had no more to say.

"Sorry Sir Atlas. Zen's knowledge of elves is as great as yours. Zen wished Zen could help more."

I pat him on the back.

"Don't worry about it then. Let's find a place to stay tonight."

Each town we stopped by we only stayed for one night. I tried finding an adventure's guild or the commoner's guild. They have rooms that you can rent out for just one night but I learned that those guilds are usually only found in bigger cities/major cities. Hopefully I can find an inn tonight.

I stopped by many inns and I wasn't having any luck. I stopped the carriage in front of the last inn I could find. I asked Zen to stay with the carriage as I entered inside.

The outside of the inn had an aura of wealth to it. Going inside, I could see that this inn was meant for rich nobles or merchants. The walls were filled with exquisite art pieces. The chairs were made of fine leather. There was even thunder bird cores being used as a source of light.

"Welcome sir. How can I help you today?" The receptionist calls out to me while I was still in a daze.

"Yes, could I please get two rooms please?"

"One moment please."

The receptionist heads into an office labeled manager. I went and sat down by the window, waiting for her to come back.

I hear a lot of yelling and the sound of what seems to be a someone stomping down from the second floor. The person that came down looked like a regular man but they had one noticeable difference. The scaly tail swinging around.

"Get the fuck out here!" The man was shouting at the top of his lungs. The receptionist came running out with the manager. In a shaky voice she asked him what was wrong.

"What… can I help… you with sir?"

"We asked for the entire floor! Why was there people there?!" The man was throwing a fit. The receptionist looked like she was seconds away from crying. The manager stepped in for her sake.

"Sir, you can not ask for an entire floor. That is the policy here." The manager was stern in what he said. The fallen dragon didn't care though. I could feel his [Death's Aura] trying to suffocate me. I was unaffected but the two others were. Is this really necessary?

"Listen you piece of shit human. What we say goes. The royal family is traveling to see the Salvis event! We need absolute peace so that the family will be rested for tomorrows journey!"

I could see the woman receptionist began to lose consciousness. The manager was still fighting to free himself. I could sense the fallen dragon move his mana around.

"This is why humans are so stupid." I could sense it, his mana was aiming to stab into the two others. Looks like I need to step in here.

I unleashed my [Death's Aura]. It was enough to freeze him and it caused him to lose focus on his mana, causing it to disappear before hitting the other two.

"Oi, just go back up stairs and stop complaining about something so small!"

I was rather annoyed honestly. I just really want to sleep and he was stopping me from doing so. The fallen dragon looked at me like I was annoying him.

"All you damn humans are like insignificant bugs buzzing around. You should of just stayed out of this." The fallen dragon tried to break free of my [Aura's] grip.

The fallen dragon acting rude reminds me of how much of an asshole the Draco King was after I saved Liza.

"Tch. Shut the hell up." My voice came out a lot more cold, maybe it's because I was tired. Whatever the case, the fallen dragon stiffened up. He just suddenly turned and left.

"Thank you sir!"

"Thank you!!"

The manager and receptionist thanked me afterwards. I had to stop them or they would have kept going. The manager gives me two of the biggest rooms on the first floor and offers me a free stay. I insisted on paying but he insisted that he couldn't take my money. After all of that was done, I went back outside to get the others.

We left the carriage and horse in the back of the inn and Zen helped me carry the girls inside. Lucy had woken up so she just followed behind.

We go in a separate rooms, wash up and called it a night.

The next morning Zen was gone. I checked on the girls and they were all gone to. They must have already woken up. I went to the front desk but as I get closer I heard a lot of shouting.

"Bring me that human!!!"

"I can't sir! We are-."

I hear a smack, I rush to see what was going on.

What I saw was Lucy standing over a fallen dragon. There were also four more fallen dragons close by, one of them was the one complaining last night. She had a look of disgust and contempt for him.

"You fucken bitch, how dare you touch me!" The fallen dragon stood up and tried to smack her as well. There was no way I could get there in time. Thankfully, Zen had acted first.

"Zen warns you to never try that again." I was surprised. This was the first time I sensed Zen's [Death's Aura]. It was overbearing but also calm. It was like watching a bird peaceful fly towards a thunderstorm.

"I just wanted that human that was disrespectful last night but I will deal with you all instead!" I saw Kat hiding behind Princess Eva. Zen and Lucy were also preparing for a big fight.

"Boss!! That's the guy!" The one I beat last night smirked as he pointed me out to his boss. The fallen that Lucy smacked, saw me and pushed through Lucy and Zen. The two couldn't do much to stop him.

"Come with us. The king will have your head."

"No! Atlas!!" Lucy was panicked. I could see her worries but I had to show her that there was no need.

"Don't worry. I'll be back. Watch Kat for me alright?" I gave her a wink and turned to the other fallen dragons. "Let's hurry up and go." I saw them all laughing, they truly thought that they could take my head?

They are fallen dragons and they also talked about a royal family so it isn't hard to figure out who these fallen are working for.

I followed the group upstairs. They led me to a suite that was meant for big families. I didn't even pay attention to the details of the room. There was a lot of guards standing around when I entered. All of them were fallen dragons.

I was led to a separate room where I saw three familiar people. Two fallen dragons and a beautiful elf.

"So your the boy that touched my men." A fallen dragon. Long black hair with streaks of red with a part down the middle. Full beard and a big body. He was the king of the Draco Kingdom.

I stood there, waiting for him to continue. However, I noticed the room was silent. I looked behind me and saw that all the fallen dragons were kneeling down. The one the others called "Boss" saw me standing still. He got up and tried to force me down, I felt his claws grow and stab into my neck.

"Get down human trash. You are standing before a king!" It just sounded like a new born crying in my ear.

"Fuck off old man and kneel." I let me [Death's Aura] out. Making sure everyone in the room could feel the pressure from it. The boss ended up kneeling down when he felt the pressure. I looked to the king to gauge his reaction. He showed none at all. The two women by his side did though.

"Do you remember me? You fucken bastard. You're the piece of shit King that let me get kidnapped after I saved your daughter." The king showed a shocked expression.

The two girls were also shocked, specifically the other fallen dragon.
