First superhuman and monster encounter

Cane's two-month preparation time for his journey into the outside world has ended. 'Here I come, New Earth!' He exclaimed,

When he walked onto the Air Cube that would take him to the surface, he felt two strong emotions. His entire body was filled with excitement and dread. He was ecstatic about everything he would encounter in the new world. On the other hand, he was concerned about how he would fare in a world ruled by survival of the fittest.

'Doc. We'll reappear in the town of Dovro. I gathered the most recent information regarding the area. It should be occupied in some way by failures. However, no one knows why this village is devoid of living organisms. It is now regarded as a "ghost town."'

Cane looked nothing like he did in his previous life. He used to have red hair, but it now had a purple tint to it, and his body had the figure of a ripped martial artist from the movies. He still wore the suit his parents had left him, but Cane had Liz alter it to look like the modern suits worn by the people of New Earth. On his back was the Eartheum sword, which he utilized for swordsmanship practice. Finally, Liz, who was connected to his earrings, programmed the bunker's self-destruction mechanism to activate five minutes after they resurfaced.

He opted to burn everything in the bunker to ensure that nothing could be traced back to him. He realized how critical it was to conceal his identity because he was the son of two brilliant scientists whose extraordinary work influenced an entire era and planet. They had also already cautioned him several times. It was better to be safe than sorry.

Inggg!

A young man climbed out of a manhole in an alleyway that had unexpectedly opened. Cane, the young man, has just emerged from his bunker. He waited five minutes to ensure that the bunker had been demolished. After a few minutes, the manhole vibrated, signaling the destruction of the bunker he had been living in for nearly a year.

'How can we travel to the nearest city, Liz?', Cane asked. 'Doc. The bordering city is to the northeast of us, and we can walk there in 4 hours. But if you can rescue a vehicle in this town, we can get there in minutes,' Liz replied, opposite to his right ear.

'Thank you, Liz. It would be much more comfortable if we could communicate without my opening my mouth. When I say something, I feel like an idiot talking to myself. Do you think I could get you upgraded like that? '

'I've already investigated it, Doc. Yes, today's AI technology is already quite advanced. I can certainly integrate with the AI on the market and receive an upgrade. I know that once I become upgraded, I'll be able to communicate with you without having to open your lips. There are numerous upgrades available to me, such as scouring the entire town for suitable transportation or discovering biological species. The upgrades, on the other hand, will be expensive.'

'I see. Don't worry. I won't get stingy with you. You indicated that my parents left a substantial amount of money and resources, so I will undoubtedly have you upgraded. In the end, your upgrades will always benefit me.'

'Thanks, Doc.'

Since Liz would not be able to aid him in finding a vehicle, he intended to find one himself. New Earth certainly felt different than the Earth he knew from his past life. Including the gods that existed here, the planet does not seem to rotate in its orbit and revolve around the sun. He asked Liz what time it was, and he was shocked to know that it was already 5 PM even though the sun was still blazing on top of his head.

'Liz. How does time work in this world?'

'We have 24 hours a day, which is related to the Sunlassos, which shine all over the world. The Sunlassos are located in each of the six cardinal directions: North, South, East, West, Up, and Down. The position of the Moonstag determines night and day. It is the only dead star that orbits the Earth once every two months. So we can claim that night is only available for 30 minutes within a 500-mile moving radius of the Moonstag's route.'

Cane realized that this world was very different from his previous one. Nonetheless, the archipelago remained just as it had been in his previous life. He soon threw off his awe at this alienating reality, believing that the world's technological growth could be attributed in large part to the extended hours of sunshine the people were subjected to.

After checking his surroundings, he immediately noticed that the town could be the recipient of Failure attacks. A lot of the buildings, infrastructure, and weirdly-looking vehicles were destroyed everywhere.

'Liz. I don't think I'll be able to find a working mode of transportation in this town. It has been completely devastated. I'm curious about what occurred here,' Cane whispered to Liz.

'After being attacked by Failures, a lot of towns look like this, Doc. It's odd that Failures didn't stay or seize this town. ' Liz advised. 'You must remain vigilant, Doc.'

Cane decided to stroll in the direction of the nearest city, sighing helplessly. It was fortunate that this world was dominated by sunshine, as he would have had to take shelter if it had been midnight. Despite this, he kept holding the hilt of his Eartheum sword on his back, ready for any unexpected danger.

He arrived in front of a dense woodland after two hours of walking. The trees were as tall as houses, yet the forest was devoid of life—no rats, animals, or insects could be detected.

Cane hurried up, thinking that the city was already nearby, and excitedly anticipated what he would do when he got there. But a sudden heart-pounding roar sounded, and that made him grip the hilt of his sword tighter. He quickly hid in a bush nearby and observed his surroundings. After a few seconds, he could hear the sound of heavy footsteps approaching in his direction.

'Don't yell at me! I know you've been so kind to look after me for the past 20 years. You only want to keep me safe, I know that, but don't worry, I'm a shapeshifter. You stated it yourself: I am a rare case and the most powerful of my kind. I swear to you, when I get stronger, I'll figure out a way to let you guys have your own zone without fear of superhuman intervention.'

Cane's interest was stirred when he heard the young man's voice. He was skeptical that the voice was speaking to a Failure. It should be difficult to communicate with these cold-blooded beings. As a result, he carefully tilted his head and peered.

He saw a young man with crimson-colored pointed ears on his head, similar to fox ears. Aside from that, he appeared to be a regular superhuman. But when he discovered that the young man was really talking to a Failure dressed like a gigantic gorilla in snake skin, he was shocked.

After the Failure had departed in dismay due to the young man's obstinate attitude, the latter suddenly looked in Cane's direction.

'Friend. Please show yourself. With my perception, I can detect you and know you are there. 'I swear I won't hurt you.'

Cane sighed, realizing the young man was well aware of his presence. He was glad he hadn't announced his location, because he wouldn't know what would have happened if a fight broke out. He could perish on the very first day of his New Earth exploration.

He calmed himself and walked out of the bush. "I did not mean to eavesdrop on your conversation. Please don't take offense."
