SAY GOODBYE TO EVERYONE PRINCESS!

KING

When she called me King, I knew what she was planning. "Goodbye"

She swiftly turned around, catching everyone off-guard and fired at that wicked bastard Mancini taking a shot at his chest. I took advantage of the situation and jumped at the nearest man, who pointed his gun at us before.

Cameron slouched down and picked up the gun that Fire had used to blackmail Samuel to let us free. Gabriel pushed Paulo behind a barrel to save him from the attack and took down another of Samuel's men.

Samuel took aunt Caroline to a safe place, and Benji ran toward the kids.

Anthony had his gun pointed at Fire, and by the time she noticed it, it was late. He was about to pull the trigger when I twirled her around and held her close to my chest before the bullet from my gun aimed for the bastard's heart.

I slowly looked down at her to see her enchanting chocolate-brown eyes staring back at me. The golden flakes in them sparkled in something more than just relief.

"Miss Maxwell"

"Yes?"

"This is time to fight so stop drooling."

"Oh... okay!"

I pushed her behind the stack of large boxes before getting engaged in the fight. I was busy taking down the enemies. The blood that spilt out of everybody encouraged the demon inside me.

But I froze in place when I heard Fire's loud scream.

"Enough! Stop right now or I am going to burst her tiny head!" Kyle's words brought everyone to a standstill, and the beast inside me growled in fury.

The moron had her captive, holding her hair in tight clutches. The way her face contorted in pain made me want to break every single bone in his body.

"Bria..." Benjamin tried to run towards her, but Kyle shot him in the right hand.

"Don't move. Everyone stay on their position and put the guns down" Kyle directed.

My body shook in anger, and I was trying to come up with a plan when a gunshot ranged. My heart lurched out of my chest in horror, thinking Kyle shot Fire. Instead, I saw a bullet pass through his skull as he slowly fell down, taking Fire with him.

And behind them stood Samuel with a gun in his hand.

I instantly pulled Fire up to her feet and held her protectively against me. Samuel's face didn't hold any emotion, it remained stoic. But his eyes... they were burning with a desire... desire to get what he wanted.

"He is dead Princess. You are safe now! Come here" He ordered her, making me tight my hold around her.

"Bria. I said come here!" Samuel rose his voice, making her whimper in fear.

"Samuel Lachat. One more step towards her, and I will have your head chopped off!" I warned darkly.

No one gets to order my woman except me!

"You stay out of this. You don't have any right to come between us. She doesn't belong to you, King. I am the one who waited for her all these years. I am the one who sacrificed everything for her. I am the one who always worked and prayed for her happiness.

I never did anything to hurt her. Unlike you, who have done nothing but hurt her over and over. Get your hands off her right now. She belongs to ME!" Samuel's face turned animalistic as he shouted in anger.

"Sam... calm down please!" Fire pleaded through tears, but that man was out of control.

He looked no less than a maniac!

"NO. Why are you with him, Bria? Why are you letting him hold you like that? What spell he has cast on you that is not letting you see how much I love you. I promise I will keep you happy and take care of you with my life. Please, come to me" His voice cracked at the end as his body shook with anger. He looked desperate and helpless.

She sobbed, watching him in pain. "Sam that can't happen. Please, try to understand. I love Hayden! And my heart can't let anyone take his place. It beats only for Hayden and it will always beat only for him!"

I didn't know how much her words affected him, but I felt goosebumps rising all over my skin.

"You heard her, Lachat. She belongs to me and only me. And I will not let anyone or anything change that!" I said darkly.

Samuel's face flashed with some strange emotion. "Your heart beats for only him?"

"Yes!" She whispered audibly.

"Then he has to die!" Samuel lifted the gun and pointed it at me.

I had no gun with me so I threw it before running to get at her. My eyes didn't leave Samuel's even for a split second, but I felt her squirming under my hold in panic.

She again took me by surprise by stepping in front of me, covering me.

"Bria, move out of the way" He gritted his teeth.

"NO. If you want to kill him then you have to go through me" She said confidently.

"Samuel. We can solve this with a talk. Don't act in the heat of the moment." Paulo tried but to no avail.

Samuel clutched the gun tightly. "Bria, I am asking you for the last time. Move!"

"Miss Maxwell!" But she ignored me.

"No", She declared.

A look of hurt crossed his features. "Are you seriously choosing that salacious monster over me? Even after you know who he is and what he and his father has done to you, to us?" He asked again.

Fire stood firm on her ground. "Yes. I will choose only him every time over everyone in this world!"

Samuel gave her a long longing look before his eyes hardened. "Fine. If you can't be with me in this world then I will have you in another world. Say goodbye to your King, princess." His eyes shifted from me to her.

He pulled the trigger, and I whirled her out of the way. The bullet grazed my right shoulder, and I hissed in pain. But when I looked up, I was stunned at the sight.

"Hayden... Hayden!" I heard Fire's panicked calls before I slumped down on the ground. My three men rushed towards me, and Juan joined them.

I turned my head a little to see Samuel taking his last breaths in his mother's lap. A sound of metal clinking against the floor caught my attention, and I saw the gun slip from Benjamin Lachat's hand.

***AFTER A WEEK***

KING

"King", Cameron stepped beside me. "We need to talk."

I took a deep breath, already knowing what the talk was about. We went into another room where Gabriel was already waiting for us.

I hated when they teamed up against me! Because that happened only when they got the right point, and I had nothing to win against them.

"Where is Paulo?" I decided to be the breakthrough of the tense air.

"He has been treated by the doctor and will recover in a few days. Right now he is taking care of everything that happened in Italy." Gabriel informed.

"Is everything cleaned up?"

"Yes, King. All dead bodies are taken care of. Except... Samuel's. Benjamin Lachat wants to give him a proper funeral. Other than that the place is all cleaned without leaving a shred of single evidence behind."

"We have given the task to our people to finish every person who was involved in this, and who knows about our secrets. We have offered Mancini's men to come under our hold. Those who don't agree to it, will be taken care of. We have also settled the legal things, so there is nothing to be worried about."

I listened as both Cameron and Gabriel filled me up with every happening.

"But King, the receptionist at the hotel where you stayed... she is out of town visiting her relatives. So she is left to-"

"No Cameron. Donna won't open her mouth. Leave her." I said.

"But King-"

"She already knows who I am. She is a smart lady. She knew something was wrong when she first saw our dishevelled appearance and my injuries. She also knew that we were lying about me and Miss Maxwell being... a husband and wife. And she didn't tell about it to the people who came there to search for us. I myself told her about our true identities when she questioned me."

-"King, I have lived enough life to learn people by just looking at their eyes. And all I saw in Bria's eyes is how much she cares about you. Whenever she talks about you, her eyes sparkle with that dreamy look that I also have experienced in life.

She is a good girl, and trust me when I say that her world does not only revolve around you, but YOU are her whole world. I don't know what you really think about her, but one day you will respect and reciprocate her feelings. You will have to!"- Her words are still afresh in my mind.

And they were the reality now!

"What about the kids?" I asked.

"We have sent them back. I have arranged their admission into one of our schools at a new location. After Juan will attain the required legal age, I will make him others' legal guardian. And we will take care of the rest." Gabriel also talked to them about what they witnessed and told them never to mention it again.

They were reluctant to agree at first, especially that boy, Juan. But when I personally talked to them, they finally agreed.

Juan also agreed in the end but not before a deal with me.

-"Fine! But trust me, King. If you hurt Bria again or put her life at risk for your selfish reasons then I will put the bullets in your head whether she loves you or not!"-

That boy had some guts!

A maid came to inform me that Bria was awake and was asking for me. But first, I wanted her to have a talk with Cameron and Gabriel.

BRIA

I felt relieved after speaking with Cameron and Gabriel. They helped me to get over my pain. And the most important thing was I had a good talk with Benji and aunt Caroline.

They were true angels because they had no hard feelings for me or the devil. They accepted their fate and convinced me to move on in my life.

I couldn't bear the thought of living without Benji, but I couldn't be so selfish. His wife needed him, and he needed her too.

So I had to bid them my goodbyes.

I wish they both would stay together till the end of time, and their love would help them get through life!

I wish I could have got a chance to say goodbye to the kids, but they left before I knew it. I was furious at the loss of every person I loved, but Cameron and Gabriel made me understand its importance.

After everything, the devil's enemies were alert. He couldn't risk any of our safety by keeping us together, so I had to agree with the arrangements.

But where the hell was he?

I left my room and found his. I opened the door to see him changing his bandages while sitting on the bed.

"Um... hi" I whispered. "Can I come in? Please?"

He didn't say a word and stepped aside, making room for me to get in. When he turned around to face me, my heart pained, looking at the bruises on his body from the beatings by Samuel's men.

He quickly rushed to get his shirt, but I stopped him holding his wrist and guided him to the bed. Making him sit down on it, I sat in front of him. I wordlessly started treating the wounds on his body one by one. I didn't dare to make any noise and disturb the peaceful silence that settled between us.
