BRIA
Cameron ran holding my hand towards the house, and my heart began beating in worry for the devil. What if he was hurt?
I shook that thought out of my mind as the house came into view. The men stationed outside saw us running like a tiger was on our chase and pulled out their guns on the alert.
Cameron didn't waste time in explanation, and only barked orders to be on alert as we ran straight to my room. As soon as we opened the door Avenger's style, I saw the devil relaxing in the chair with his eyes closed.
Yes! the same chair where I had spent the last night.
He opened his eyes slowly, hearing the loud noise and our panting.
"There's someone."
"We are in danger"
"I saw footprints"
"There was a cigar"
"I have sent men to look"
"there is-"
"STOP!!" His voice made both of us shut our mouths.
He stood up, took his sweet time and walked toward us.
"Speak," he ordered Cameron, but his eyes were glued to my reddened face and frantic eyes.
Cameron explained the whole thing in detail, but in response to that, all we received was silence.
God, this man!
I let him think of a plan to save our asses and walked to the table near the window to quench my thirst. I was halfway through emptying the glass when Cameron joined and snatched it from me.
I glared at him, but then something caught my attention. I neared the window, squinting my eyes as the darkness had begun to befall upon the earth. And my eyes went wide in fear.
"G-guys... I don't think we have more than five minutes to save our lives!"
Both men rushed to stand behind me and noticed dark figures emerging out of the woods.
"Fuck!" Cameron cursed again and rushed to the laptop on the bed.
He opened it and began typing something furiously.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Weren't we agreed on saving our lives just a moment ago?
"I am deleting all the files so that they can't recover them even though the laptop gets damaged."
Before I could react, The devil collected Cameron's and his phones and broke the sim cards along with the handsets.
What was wrong with them? How were we going to contact for help? Using telepathy?!
We heard a series of blasts that shook the walls of the house. The attackers outnumbered our men. The gunshots echoed, destroying the once sereneness of the place.
"Done!" Cameron exclaimed.
Both of them pulled out their guns. But the devil ran inside the room again only to return with his infamous dark goggle and two hoodies... one for him and the other for...me!
How caring of him!
We descended the stairs to reach the living room where three men attacked us, but the devil took care of them. I saw our men buying us some time. But for how long?
Cameron threw the laptop into the fire that caught one side of the wall nearby. We went into the kitchen, and Cameron pushed open a door. I followed them blindly as they were my only hope for life.
"What the fuck are we doing in a pantry?"
The devil shushed me and signalled to listen.
My panic rose when I heard what he was telling me to listen to. "Oh no...Oh, no...Oh no... Oh nooo. That's a helicopter!" Unbelievable!
"They had it all planned!" Cameron muttered angrily and began pushing a large cabinet with all his might. The devil helped him as Cameron couldn't use his one hand yet.
I was relieved that there must be some kind of secret tunnel behind it, but my face fell when I saw a plain wall.
"So, we have to chant a magical spell to open the door to another world like Abra ka dabra or Aberto or ... or Alohomora?"
Both of them turned to look at me like I have grown two extra heads.
"What? You guys haven't watched Harry Potter? Such a shame!" I crinkled my nose.
Cameron chose to ignore me and began kicking the wall forcefully. And after seven attempts, it finally broke.
"I swear, you should have tried one of those spells," I commented.
"Move!" The devil urged me to follow Cameron.
We crawled through the broken wall and entered into some secret way which was covered by thick bushes.
My hands and body were scraped by thorns, and the small angular rocks pricked my palms and knees. We managed to cover the distance of about ten minutes by crawling and accessing into woods.
"Ok... we are safe now. Right?"
My question was answered too soon for my liking when a blade swished our way. It hit the trunk of a tree behind us.
"Crap!" I looked for an escape frantically.
We ran, dodging the bullets in the dark. The devil pulled me down behind a big tree trunk, which was covered with large grass and small climbers.
"dove sono adesso? ricerca. guarda qui." A baritone voice echoed.
"What he just said?" I whispered.
"He said to search for us." Cameron took the effort to be a translator for me as I had zero knowledge of the Italian language.
"Sono tre uomini. Uno deve essere King e un altro Cameron. Ma non sappiamo chi sia il terzo uomo." Another man spoke though the Bluetooth.
"Translation please!"
Cameron and the devil looked at each other for a moment and then turned their heads towards me slowly.
"Well..." I waited in anticipation.
"They are looking for three men." It was the devil who translated for me this time.
"Ooh, but who are these three men?" I asked in confusion.
"First man, second man" He pointed his finger to him and then to Cameron "Third man" his finger stopped at me.
What kind of a joke it was?! I was no man!
"How the fuck they didn't notice my feminine features?"
"Because you have none!" I wanted to break the devil's nose.
But then I noticed them sharing a secret message, that only I didn't understand.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I am going to distract them, taking advantage of the confusion. Then you will get the hell out of here," Cameron replied while observing his targets.
"What? Are you nuts or what? I am not going to let you do this. We are safe together." I grabbed his hand to stop him.
"Bria, we don't have another choice. If we stay together then it will be not in our favour. I have done this before for King."
I glared at the devil who was watching us without any worry on his face.
"He might be used to using you as a shield but I am not. I am not going to let you put your life in danger." I said adamantly.
"Try to understand Bria. Do you trust me?" Even in the dim moonlight, I could see some renewed emotions in his eyes.
My eyes moistened, and I nod, whispering a yes.
A smile broke out on his face as he grabbed me and pulled me closer to him. I hugged him back, trying to control the sob threatening to escape my mouth.
"I promise that King will not let anything happen to you. Just follow his orders and don't get on his nerves or he will kill you himself before the attackers." That didn't humour me at all.
"Promise me you will be safe and meet me safe and sound, giving me your Cheshire smile." I requested.
Cameron slowly pulled away from me and gave me an exact smile that added to his charm.
"I promise, little sister!" And with that said, Cameron ran in the other direction, distracting the attackers.

"Hello?"
I listened to the man on the other side, but my temper fled with every word.
"What? It was not in the plan. Why he attacked them tonight when we agreed to attack them in tomorrow's meeting?"
I fisted my hands in anger.
"I want to talk to him. Put him on the line, now!" I waited as the man passed the phone to the person I wanted to talk to.
"Hello?"
"You ruined my plan, Angelo. Why?" I snapped.
"I didn't want to wait for tomorrow."
"But see now what happened. They escaped!" My anger flared at his reply.
"Watch your tone, deficiente (moron). Your job is giving me all the information that I need and control everything there. King is now in my territory. I will decide how to handle him. Non-insegnare a tuo padre! (Don't teach your daddy). Now you just put up with your actions and make sure that the news of attack won't get there. merda senza valore (worthless shit)." He cut the call with that.

BRIA
It had been more than two hours since we were running when I halted to sit on a branch of a nearby tree.
"My legs- they are killing me. I- I can't run more." I gasped through the ragged breath.
The devil, on the other hand, looked as fine as he had always been. He took a look around, wiping a trail of sweat on his forehead.
From the looks of it, we were stuck somewhere in the woods and crossed the boundaries of his property a long time ago.
"We can't stop. Get up." He said sternly.
Who told you to build a house in the middle of fucking woods? You could have chosen a place somewhere near the city. At least then I would have something to eat. Now, what are we going to eat in this jungle?" I complained in irritation.
"Answer for your first question is I needed a safe place away from the eyes of my enemies. And about the second question... haven't you stuffed a dozen sandwiches at lakeside for the lunch?"
That despicable moron!
Now he had a problem with my food!
Irrespective of my pleas, the heartless devil made me walk more.
"Ouch!" Why did this bulldozer suddenly hit the brakes? I collided with his back when he stopped walking abruptly.
"Come. We have a place to spend the night."
I looked confused as we approached the tree. "You mean we are spending the night on these twigs and stones?"
He surprised me by gripping my chin gently to lift my head.
"Sweet monkeys! That's-"
"Climb the tree."
"No ways I am going to climb the tree! Tell me to climb a building or freaking Everest but there's no way I am gonna climb any tree" I crossed my hands over the chest in defiance.
"Stop wasting time and climb the fucking tree." He grumbled in irritation.
"I said, NO!!"
"I am warning you for the last time."
"Make me!" She challenged.
But soon, I regretted my actions and was already on the small platform built at a height of about twelve feet by a wildlife photographer.
The devil followed me, and now that I stood with him on that platform, the situation only became more awkward.
The place was not for two people. And with a giant Shrek like him, it was impossible for us to even sit down side by side.
"You sleep. I will keep a watch."
I was more than glad to hear it and sat down, stretching my legs as much as possible.
But after five minutes, I felt terrible for him. He also ran along with me and thus must be tired.
"Uhh... you can sit down and keep a watch, you know."
"Do you see enough space to accommodate two people there?" He asked in irritation.
"I am not a six feet and something inches tall hulk." I retorted back.
Five minutes of silence later, I again tugged at his pants. He looked down at me.
"We both can fit if we um, adjust a little."
