THE TOXIC BOND

Love can conquer Evil, but what if your love is EVIL? A promise was made two years ago between the two broken souls...a promise of working on their imperfections and sharpening them to fit in each other perfectly. THE TOXIC DEAL was what clashed their destinies together. Life threw the thorns of secrets and betrayals in their way, yet they fought together. They won together! Parting their ways was their conscious choice with a hope of a better tomorrow. Their promise kept them going and battling their demons. But not all promises are meant to be kept! Bria Maxwell and Hayden King couldn't find their happy ending in the first book- THE TOXIC DEAL. Now it is time for the reunion, but are they ready to face each other after growing into two completely different persons? Is their love still strong enough to burn bright in the fire of desire? Or the willingness to fight for each other has already faded away? Join them in their further adventure that is grander, scarier, more thrilling and... more dangerous! ***** This is the second book of the 'TOXIC' series! BRIA

The soft rays of the sun descended on me from the open window of my room. The light-coloured curtains moved along the gentle breeze that entered without asking for permission. My bed felt soft under my stiff body. The bells that were tied at the window, chimed melodiously, waking me up from my slumber.

I stirred in sleep only to groan. My body ached, and my sides hurt too much. I rubbed the sleep off my eyes only to realize the melody that woke me was not created only by the bells, but my alarm was buzzing constantly.

I stretched my hand to pick up my phone, still in half-sleep mode to see it was six-thirty in the morning. I turned off the alarm and wished to snuggle close to my pillow, but then I remembered that I had a job to go to.

I tried to get up, but the previous pain in my sides grew even more. I still managed to sit up in bed after many efforts. Getting out of bed, I walked to stand in front of the full-size mirror that stared back at me.
