The Three Paraphernalia's

Jackie smiled, Lilliane smiled too, “Well, to complete the task, you must gather the Three Seraphic Paraphernalia’s. Each one is from a different time period. One from the past, one from the present, and one from the future. Explaining it will be too difficult, just follow this.” She picked up a piece of paper from thin air and threw it into the air, Stella caught it and folded it up neatly. “It tells you all you need to know, just-“ At that moment, Jackie whispered, “one… two… THREE!” _________________________________________________ Cover Art from PeakPx content creator.

The Decision

They walked to Tiffany's apartment in silence, no one said anything to each other. Each person's mind was whirring with all of their respective thoughts about the events of the day.

Kaitlin was completely thoughtless; her mind was half dead. She could not believe what she had to do with Tiffany and Jackie, she could not believe the fact that if she and the other two did not complete this journey, they would be dead for sure, by the hands of the Evil Enchantress. As she reached this conclusion, her mind filled with anger, her head was alive again, thriving with energy and anger at the thought of the Evil Enchantress.

Kaitlin felt murderous, she wanted to kill the Enchantress with her bare hands. But no, that wouldn't be possible, she had to complete the quest, if she had succeeded, she would be able to kill all evil… Kaitlin grinned at that thought and losing track of where she was going, she walked straight into Delia.

"Kaitlin!" exclaimed Delia surprised, "are you okay?"

Kaitlin looked at her and burst out laughing, "Of course I'm okay, I feel way better now."

"Okay, good…" Delia laughed uncertainly and looked worriedly at her.

"Come on guys," yelled Jackie, beckoning to them.

Kaitlin looked at Delia, chuckled, and entered the apartment where Jackie was holding the door open, waiting for them. Jackie stared at her, confused, then she looked at Delia, "What is wrong with her, is she alright?"

Delia sighed wearily and walked through the door, she murmured to Jackie, "I don't know, but I think she wants to go on that journey, remember, I can read her thoughts."

Jackie looked at her with surprise and fear etched onto her face, then she closed the door hurriedly and went over with Delia to where everyone else was. They sat down at two chairs and turned to look at the rest of the group.

"Tiffany, where's Wolf?" asked Natalie looking around for the snow-white purebred husky.

Tiffany looked up at Natalie and laughed, "He has a training class today and I decided to let him rest there too since it ends late and Rowan will also be there."

Stella yawned ad collapsed onto the loveseat sofa, "What are we going to do?"

"Hey do you guys want to watch a movie?" asked Tiffany, "To get our minds off the things."

Kaitlin and Natalie nodded, "Sure why not?"

"Can we watch a horror movie?" questioned Jackie, rubbing her hands like an evil queen.

"Which one?"

Jackie thought the question over, "Well, I think we should watch the new movie 'Voltage', I heard it's really good." Tiffany nodded and typed in the movie name on Netflix, it popped up straight away.

"But I heard it's really scary," whispered Stella.

"Oh well, we should watch a scary movie, how long is it?" said Natalie to Tiffany.

Tiffany checked her large flat-screen T.V, "It says that it's 3 hours and 7 minutes."

"Well that sure is a long time," muttered Natalie to Jackie and she grinned.

Gertrude laughed and stood up, walking to the kitchen, "That's too long, I'm going to get some soda, who wants what?"

"Dr. Pepper!" shouted Natalie and Stella in unison, they looked at each other, then they laughed.

"Sprite for me," called out Tiffany.

Jackie said, "I'll have some Coke, regular though, I hate diet coke."

Gertrude nodded and asked, "What about you guys? Delia? Kaitlin?"

Delia thought and answered, "Pepsi's good."

"Um… Sprite please," said Kaitlin, in a soft voice.

Gertrude appeared out of the kitchen again and asked, "what did you say Kaitlin? I didn't hear you!"

Kaitlin sucked in her breath and yelled in a very loud voice, "SPRITE!"

Tiffany, Delia, and Jackie pressed their hands to their ears. "That's loud enough Kaitlin," giggled Natalie, faking annoyance but failing and ended up falling over laughing so hard.

Tiffany held up the remote to the T.V. and clicked on the button that plays the movie they were going to watch. Gertrude hurried back, using magic to float the drinks in front of her. She flicked her fingers and the beverages each went to the corresponding person.

Kaitlin grasped her Sprite from the air and she felt the cold glass touch her tingling warm fingers. She took a sip and as the movie started, she fluttered her fingers toward the lights, dimming them until they were completely off.

"Now it really is scary," laughed Stella as the movie started.

As they were watching the movie however, Tiffany and Delia just didn't have the heart to watch it. Occupying their thoughts were not the scenes from the horror movie, but from the day's events that had occurred and would change for them forever.

As the movie arrived at the climax, Jackie and Stella screamed for the evil clown had just murdered a bunch of innocent people and turned them into clowns to fight against the side trying to destroy the clowns. However hard they were trying to fight, the regular people still were not able to defeat the clowns as they had the upper hand with lightning power, that was what had made them to be clowns.

A complicated but worth seeing movie, Gertrude was sipping her Sprite and watching the movie with a thoughtful look on her face, wondering about both things in the movie and real life. The horror story happening to themselves.

As Natalie sat in her armchair, staring at the T.V. screen but not exactly seeing it, she thought about how the events of the movie had similar characteristics as they had in real life. At that time, Kaitlin screamed with laughter as the clown started decapitating random clowns and turning them into bombs.

Natalie chuckled quietly to herself. Everyone knew that Kaitlin wasn't mad like the Mad Hatter, she just liked laughing at movies because she knew that it wasn't real, unlike the things happening in real life.

The movie came to an end and they all yawned, "I'm turning the lights back on peoples" said Gertrude, she raised her right hand, palm up, and muttered, "Iraiseo". The lights turned slowly back on so as not to hurt their eyes after watching in the dark for so long.

Delia yawned again and stood up, she clutched her head and in the kitchen to wash her face, refreshing it a little. Natalie went to the restroom, then Jackie, followed by Gertrude, and laughing behind the was Tiffany.

"Looks like we all have to use the restroom," Stella smiled, then she got up from the floor which she had been laying on, and trotted after them all in the direction of the restroom.

After all of them came back from where they were and sat next to the T.V. in the living room, "We should talk about what to do," said Kaitlin unexpected.

A long silence followed her words. Jackie exchanged words with Tiffany silently, but no one spoke out loud.

"So," Stella said unsure, breaking the awkward quietness, "We have two things to worry about now."

Everyone looked at her confused, then the look of realization dawned on Gertrude's face. "You mean both this journey to destroy the Enchantress and the Masquerade Ball."

"Yes," said Stella. "For some wild reason however, I feel like they are linked."

Natalie jumped in her seat, "I have that feeling too, the Black Queen and the Evil Enchantress, do you guys think they may be the same people?"

"Maybe," began Jackie.

"Wait!" shouted Tiffany. Everyone stopped talking at once and stared at her.

"What?" asked Kaitlin, watching her carefully.

Tiffany snapped her fingers and her little pouch appeared at once, she put her hand inside and fished around until she found what she was looking for. She withdrew her hand, holding a piece of folded paper. Natalie recognized it immediately, it was the invitation.

Tiffany scanned it through quickly, her eyes darting from side to side, then she said quietly, "ha!"

Stella rolled her eyes, "What?"

"Shh! Shut up Stella," shushed Gertrude, staring intensely at Tiffany.

"Listen to this, 'You will be able to bring two guests along with you. Hopefully they are from royal families' see?" Tiffany almost burst with excitement.

Delia and Kaitlin shook their heads. "No, what are we supposed to get?" asked Stella, slightly annoyed.

"Oh I get it," replied Jackie slowly, she was staring at the invitation in Tiffany's hands and in her mind, she repeated the first line of the prophecy, three mermaids of royal birth shall stand together.

Gertrude nodded her head, suddenly understanding as she said aloud, "You mean that both in the invitation and prophecy that they were talking about mermaids of royal birth…"

"Also," began Natalie, "remember the post scrimption, it clearly said that we had to go to the ball in order to start the journey!"

Delia gasped while Kaitlin said, "So, this Black Queen is actually the Enchantress… then you can't go to the Mystical Masquerade Ball!" She exclaimed, addressing Tiffany.

"The Evil Enchantress will probably destroy you then and there, that's why she invited royals only, mermaid royals," said Stella.

"Exactly," answered Tiffany, "That's the reason why I have go, and with Kaitlin and Jackie also. They were mentioned in the invitation;we have to go."

Jackie nodded when Tiffany said this, Kaitlin managed a weak smile and looked at Stella. Stella was staring at them worriedly, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Yes of course we are." Kaitlyn replied firmly.

"We want to save the world from evil, and if we don't do it, no one would."
