It had been two weeks now after George’s funeral. Sue lived with Judy for the past two weeks after Janet kicked her out.
Sue resumed work immediately after the next day, and she acted extremely weird. She would spend more than 9 hours continuously working.
Judy never left her alone. She stayed behind with Sue, even if nothing was there for Judy to do.
“It is not fair for you, Judy. I had pending work to do, but you waste your time at the office.” Sue said to Judy while leaving the office one evening.
Judy placed her hand around Sue’s shoulders in a caring way and smiled. “Believe me, Sue; I am having the best time in a long time. Having you around all the time made up my days.”
When Sue came to Judy’s house at night with a pale yellow face, Judy never insisting on knowing what happened. She welcomed her with a warm smile, and she did her best to make sure that Sue felt at home.
