The four vampires reluctantly abandoned their chase, and quickly dodged the four rising pillars of flames. The powerful spells not only blocked their path, but also blocked their vision.

Meanwhile, the raven haired mage continued to fall faster and faster. Her teeth gritted in pain as her trait healed the two gaping wounds in her body, and her cracked bone.

Her wide eyes focused on the rapidly approaching ground, and her heart racing a thousand kilometers an hour. Yet, fear didn’t cause her heart to beat so violently. No, it was excitement that fueled her blood.

It wasn’t an accident that she fell from the sky. It was a preplanned move, and the ravenous smile on her face confirmed it.

“Spirit Wings!”

Ethereal wings spread behind her back, and slowed her descent at the final moment. She hit the ground with some force, and her newly recovered legs took the force of impact.
